1. Classic “ink” tint

This is the most typical type of tint that we are all familiar with. Liquid or slightly thickened, with a convenient felt applicator. But Korean ones have one peculiarity - the tint on the skin can turn out to be just as dark and rich as in the tube. Up to deep burgundy color. You need to focus on the swatches that the manufacturer attaches to the product - and Korean manufacturers always give a layout by color.

Does this tint dry out your lips? On a scale from 1 to 10 it dries by about 3, i.e. feels comfortable on the lips. However, dark tints tend to color dry areas of the lips more intensely. It is similar in appearance and consistency to lip gloss. It is gel-like and jelly-like, most often water-based, and has a much less pronounced odor (compared to ink tint).

When applied to the lips it gives weaker pigmentation and evaporates very quickly from the surface of the lips. Ideal for every day to create natural looks. It is much more tolerant of dry skin on the lips, and does not particularly emphasize peeling and wounds - therefore the “apply and run” principle is 100% applicable here.

The pigment does not last long, about two to three hours, then the coating needs to be renewed. “Gloss” does not dry out, but does not particularly care for the lips.

It is also rich and can be either shiny or matte. It is difficult to call them tints in the full sense of the word - the pigment remains on the skin, but only slightly. In my opinion, one of the unsuccessful ones is the idea of ​​a tint in the form of gouache. And here the palm still does not belong to the Koreans, because this is not their invention. If you like, it looks like the creamy matte KARMA LIPS, aka Chinese consumer goods for $1 from Ali Express. It is similar at the same time to all the numerous matte lipsticks and glosses that are present in huge quantities in stores and in reviews. If you remember what thick baby gouache looks like, then consider that you have seen the consistency of this tint. I managed to find only one bright representative - the CLIO brand, which is generally known for its excellent decorative products (the eyeliners alone are worth it!). But despite the price of $15, the quality of the Lipnicure series is 5 cents lower. If dark tints are even more or less acceptable, then light ones are a complete mess. They require not just well-groomed lips - they require HYPER-groomed lips. During the application process, they instantly dry out into a crust, so it is impossible to apply them evenly and evenly.
