Tips from MAC makeup artists Anton Zimin and Tatyana Mitina:

  • You can lighten the inner corners with close-set eyes, darken them with wide-set eyes;
  • To prevent shiny shadows from crumbling, you need to apply them to a rich creamy texture or fixing spray;
  • the trend is a combination of different shining textures. If there are sparkles on the eyelids, it is better to make the lips uniformly glossy;
  • Cool shades are suitable for cold color types for daytime makeup, and warm shades for bright ones. And vice versa.

Yana. Daytime makeup with highlighted eye corners

Preparing the face: apply a thin layer of Face and Body Foundation, mask imperfections with Mineralize Concealer, set the tone on the T-zone and under the eyes with Studio Careblend Pressed Powder. Apply mascara to In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash. Apply Brow Set Clear gel to the eyebrows.

Apply Cream Color Base in the shade Luna with brush 217 under the eyebrow...

...in the inner corners of the eyes and in the center of the moving eyelid.

Using the same brush 217, apply Pressed Pigment in the shade Angelic to the inner corners of the eyes to enhance the shine.

NB! Yana has very fair skin. For dark skin, not a white, but a golden highlighter is suitable. Blush is not needed in this makeup (if you really want to, choose calm beige shades).

Apply Clear Lipglass to your lips.

Karina. Evening makeup with darkened inner corners of the eyes

Preparation: spray Fix+ fixing spray on your face - this will moisturize the skin and prepare it for applying the tone. Then we blend the Studio Sculpt foundation and mask the redness with Matchmaster corrector. Apply a small amount of the same corrector under the eyes with your fingertips. We fix the tone with Fix+ spray and transparent powder. Apply Powder Blush in the shade Well-Dressed to the cheeks. Shape the eyebrows with Veluxe Brow Liner in the shade Deep Dark Brunette.

Apply corrector to the entire moving eyelid: this will allow you to apply a light shade of eyeshadow in an even tone. Then, using brush 239, apply Pro Longwear eyeshadow in the shade Carefree.

We use pigments from the Pressed Pigment line: dark Black Diamond and light Flicker.

First, apply Black Diamond to the inner corners of the eyes.

To ensure that the pigment lies tightly and not hazy, we wet the brush with Fix+ and apply the pigment again.

On top of the Black Diamond shade, using a brush N 209, dampened with Fix+, apply Flicker pigment to the inner corners...

...and draw a line along the eyelashes in the center of the moving eyelid.

Same Flicker

apply with brush 239 under the eyebrow. Here we need a haze, not dense glitter, so there is no need to wet the brush.

Apply Crème d'Nude lipstick to your lips, and a little Tanarama lipstick on top of it. Tanarama has a frosted finish, which allows you to play with the difference in texture on your eyelids and lips.

Sveta. Creative makeup with hot pink eyeshadow and glittery corners

Preparation: Even out tone with Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation and mask imperfections with Mineralize Concealer - both products are suitable for dry skin. We apply Studio Careblend powder with tapping movements for the most natural effect and correct the face along the contour of the same Studio Careblend in a darker shade. We leave the eyebrows natural.

For the accent to be truly striking, the shade must contrast with the exterior. Sveta’s is warm, so we choose Cream Color Base in the cool shade Pink Shock. Blend it with brush No. 217 in the inner corner of the eye...

...and create a light haze on the lower eyelid.

Blend the Pink Shock cream base on the fixed eyelid, without going into the moving eyelid.

Using the same brush No. 217, add Cream Color Base Pink Shock

on the cheekbones as a blush.

Apply Pressed Pigment pearlescent eyeshadow in the shade Amethyst to the inner corners of the eyes with a brush 239, using light tapping movements so that the glitter does not fall off. Gently blend.

We add white Fascinating to the mucous membrane.

Very bright eyelashes in this makeup are a must-have element. Using black mascara In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash, carefully paint over the upper and lower eyelashes.

Finish with Tinted Lipgloss in Nymphette.

Makeup for the impending century

Evenly distribute matte shadows in dark shades along the entire crease of the upper eyelid and blend them slightly upward, visually lifting the crease. An important rule: in this case, you should do makeup with your eyes open, not closed.

When to do French corner makeup?

When to do French corner makeup?

This makeup is suitable for any time of the day, the main thing is to choose the right shades in which it will be done. Agree, even smokey eyes - truly evening makeup, done in soft peach or pastel colors can be quite suitable for everyday wear. And French corner makeup is even more versatile. They can both amaze the groom and guests during the wedding ceremony, and please employees in the office. The main thing is to use exclusively appropriate shades when doing this eye makeup.

A little about makeup

A little about makeup

What is French corner makeup? In the classic implementation of this type of makeup, the moving part of the eyelid is covered with a lighter shade of shadow, and a geometrically regular spot of a dark shade is formed on the outer corner of the eyes - oval or triangular. The shape of the darkened area allows you to correct the shape of the eyes. Typically, the shadow can be drawn using a flat professional brush, but to ensure its shape is perfect, it is recommended to use a pencil that matches the color of the shadows. Sometimes a darkened triangle in the outer corner of the eye is drawn using a piece of paper. So, the sheet is applied to the outer corner of the eye - the open part is shaded with light shadows, the sheet is removed and work continues on the dark corner.

The transition boundary between the light and dark areas usually begins in the first third of the century. Depending on the elegance of the makeup, the corner can protrude far beyond the border of the century or, on the contrary, go almost in line with it. The transition line between light and dark shades can be straight or curved, shaded or clear. Also, between the two primary colors, an intermediate, connecting shade is allowed.

How to apply eye shadow correctly

In every girl's makeup bag, of course, you can find a miniature and compact eyeshadow palette. This cosmetic product is an indispensable assistant for every beauty. With the help of shadows, you can create excellent daytime (everyday) makeup, highlighting the eye area, as well as luxurious evening makeup that will highlight features and hide imperfections in appearance, presenting the face in the most advantageous position.

Let's find out how to make eye makeup aesthetically pleasing and effective, taking into account all the individual features of your appearance.

Tools and makeup products

Shadows The beauty industry these days is extremely developed, so when choosing makeup shadows in a store we are faced with a huge assortment of pigments and textures: Dry, cream, gel, super-resistant, shimmer, matte - all these are varieties of the very cosmetic product that we so need for proper eye makeup. Among such a variety it is very difficult to choose a really good product. To make sure your purchase is successful, beauty professionals recommend adhering to several rules:

  • Always check the quality of the product before purchasing. This can be done directly in the store using a specially provided test sample. Apply a little product to the skin of your hand and examine whether the texture has an even coating without lumps or spots, and whether the sample you have chosen retains its richness on the skin. This way you will at least get a rough idea of the product’s qualities, however, a full impression of the product can only be formed after using it in makeup.
  • Many shadow textures have one very unpleasant property - they crumble. To understand how the selected pigment will behave when worn, take a special brush for testing (every cosmetic department should have it) and lightly move it over the area where the color is applied.
  • Determining the quality of cream textures will be much more difficult, because their durability cannot be checked immediately upon application. This type of shadow needs to be tested only with time. Apply a little product to the skin and wait 2-3 hours. If after this time the pigment has not curled up or become dull, you have chosen a good quality product.

Which colors should I choose?

Which colors should I choose?

Depending on what event you are timing your makeup for, you need to select a color scheme. The French corner makeup looks most advantageous in two contrasting colors. A combination of gold or silver and black will look great in formal eye makeup. In wedding makeup, you can use purple and black shades. For everyday makeup, you can use beige as a base and brown to darken the corner. Turquoise and mint shades are also considered fashionable this season for eye makeup, which go well with gray and dark brown colors.
