Eye makeup for drooping corners of the eyes. How to create makeup for eyes with drooping corners?
The main task of eye makeup with drooping corners is to visually lift them and make the look more open.
To do this, you will need eye shadow, eyeliner or eyeliner, and a good mascara to add volume to your eyelashes. Apply light shadows to the entire eyelid, but do not go to the outer corner. But highlight the inner corner of the eye using a highlighter with shimmer: this way you will refresh your look.
You should work more carefully with dark shades than with light shades. It is the dark color that visually lifts the outer corner of the eye. When doing eye makeup, blend the shadows in a diagonal direction towards the temple. Apply a little shadow into the crease of the eyelid.
Remember the rule: do not darken the lower eyelid, attention, only on the outside of the eye. Either leave it unpainted, or highlight it completely by walking a brush with shadows on it along the lower lash line.
Using a pencil or eyeliner, draw an arrow, drawing its tail towards the temple and creating a bend. Start the line not from the inner corner of the eye, but from the middle of the eyelid. And remember that straight arrows will lower the corners even more.
Apply volumizing mascara to the outer corner of the eye. You can pre-curl your eyelashes with a curler. Also try using bunches of false eyelashes. This way your eye makeup will not go unnoticed, and your look will become more expressive.
Fluffy eyelashes perfectly correct the shape of the eyes
Women who have drooping corners of their eyes would do well to pay attention to their eyelashes. After all, carefully painted and correctly curled eyelashes can make your eyes expressive and open, as well as lift the outer corner. Professionals share secrets on how to hide the problem with the correct application of mascara.
Correct coloring of the upper row of eyelashes
To begin with, it is necessary to conditionally divide the eyelashes into three zones. This is done so that the hairs are directed during coloring in those directions that contribute to the ideal makeup of eyes with drooping corners. You should start coloring from the inner corner, to do this, use a brush with mascara to lay the hairs in the direction of the bridge of the nose. After this, those eyelashes located in the middle are colored; they must be directed strictly upward. And only then the outer hairs of the eyelashes, combing and coloring them towards the sides and upwards, towards the temples.
How to dye your lower eyelashes correctly?
The lower eyelash line is painted very carefully, in a strictly downward direction, because if the hairs are painted, directed towards the outer corners, this can emphasize the problem. Do not apply mascara too thickly, otherwise you will get the impression of “upside down” eyes. It is better to apply cosmetics to the eyelashes evenly along the entire growth line. An important note for women with drooping eyelids. When dyeing the upper and lower eyelashes, try not to touch the hairs at the outer edge.

Makeup for sad eyes with drooping corners. Makeup using shadows
To change the shape of your eyes, you can choose the most suitable makeup technique for yourself. With the help of shadows you can achieve the desired result and effectively hide this minor drawback. But first, it is important to make sure that the corners of the eyes are really drooping or that the drooping eyelid creates a similar effect. To do this, it is enough to imagine a straight line passing exactly across the bridge of the nose, then you can determine the drooping corners, they will be significantly lower than the line.
Girls with downturned eyes look very beautiful when wearing makeup using calm and natural colors. The main thing is not to let the eyes become “sad,” so the outer corner of the eye is not drawn, and the basic shadows are applied to the moving eyelid and under the eyebrow. Any color scheme is used that is most suitable for the color of the skin and eyes. It is better to take lighter shades of shadows, dark ones are applied to the crease and lead up to the eyebrows. Apply the darkest color a couple of millimeters above the skin fold.
A medium-saturated shadow is applied to the inner corner, then lighter shades, and finally the darkest shades. In order to slightly raise the outer corner, you must not extend the line to the end of the eye, but, on the contrary, begin to lift it so that the corner of the eye is visually aligned. The shadows will be more saturated if they are applied using a damp applicator.
Some tips
Makeup for drooping eye corners in action
- Choice of colors. Give preference to a calm and discreet range of shadows that will highlight the beauty of your eyes without focusing on their shortcomings. The shade of the shadows, in general, is not so important - the main thing is that it suits your color type.
- When applying shadows to the moving eyelid, try to leave the outer corner of the eye free from them - this technique will visually “lift” it.
- Liquid eyeliner is very effective and can also be used to change the shape of the eye. But it is not recommended to draw the lower eyelid even with a pencil. Some girls find it difficult to draw arrows using liquid eyeliner - in this case, you can use special stencils that you can buy or make yourself.
- Before applying makeup, be sure to use a base and fixer, which guarantee the durability of the makeup, because, due to low-quality cosmetics, the paint often wears off quite quickly. For this reason, eyeliner should not be replaced with a pencil - makeup quickly begins to look “stale.”

What should you not do?
Girls with drooping corners of the eyes should not paint their eyes using the “banana” technique, and should also give preference to the beloved “smoky eyes” technique, which is often performed using predominantly dark shadows , which cover, if not the entire, then most of the moving eyelid.
Eyebrows and makeup for drooping eye corners
Eyebrows should be given special attention . It is recommended to shape your eyebrows beautifully, making them not too thin, but not too wide either - find that golden mean that will harmoniously highlight your eyes. The hairs on the outer edge must be shaped so that they do not have a lowered or raised shape.
Eyeliner and downturned eye corners
As noted above, eyeliner hides such a defect most advantageously. Of course, you can also use a pencil, but it is usually not durable, so it is best to give preference to eyeliner - a richer and more durable one.
If you are not yet comfortable with eyeliner, you can use pencil eyeliner - you can use it to draw arrows at any angle, but, naturally, its shade is less intense.

How to properly paint eyes with drooping outer corners?
Makeup for drooping corners of the eyes - step-by-step photos:
The rules for applying makeup in the case when the outer corners of the eye are lowered down generally do not depend on eye color, and in all cases will be generally the same:
- First of all, you need to carefully smooth out the skin, preparing it for creating the image.
- On the upper eyelid you also need to apply a base in the form of regular loose powder or the lightest shade in the eyeshadow palette.
- Apply concealer along the lower eyelid in the area of the outer corner of the eye. At the same time, you need to gently shade the main color of the selected shadows, while strictly observing the direction of movement from the outer to the inner edge of the eye.
- More saturated shades are applied to the outer part of the eyelid and carefully shaded along a diagonal line with an upward direction. In this case, the shadows should be outside the outer edge of the eye.
- The softest and lightest colors should be placed under the eyebrows.
- The last step of makeup will be drawing on the eyebrows, which is done to visually lift them.
At the same time, it is important not to make a mistake in choosing the tone of powder and foundation in accordance with the natural shade of your complexion.
Preparing for makeup
To make up eyes with drooping corners, you will need the following cosmetics and tools:
- matte dry eye shadow;
- primer;
- concealer;
- brushes;
- mascara;
- eyeliner for eye contour;
- eyelash curler;
- false eyelashes or bunches for the corners of the eyes.
It is recommended to choose eyeshadow in pastel nude shades in accordance with your complexion. Women with this eye shape are absolutely not suitable for the classic “smoky eye” and eye makeup using the “banana” technique. It is important to remember that before applying makeup, you need to prepare your eyelids for applying cosmetics - use a special base for eye shadow, called a primer. With the help of a primer, the shadows will stay on the eyelids for a long time, will not crumble or slide, and the makeup will not be imprinted on the fixed eyelid.
If your eyelashes are long, you can curl them with a special curling iron. Those with short or sparse natural eyelashes are advised to use false eyelashes or separate bunches, which perfectly correct the corners of the eyes.
The shape of the eyebrows should be classic - smooth with a slight bend, without creases or sharp lines. The outer end of the eyebrow should not be located below or in line with the beginning of the eyebrows.
Drooping corners of the eyes and drooping eyelids. General recommendations
Before creating hooded eye makeup, let's understand what this concept means.
A drooping eyelid implies drooping corners of the eyes and a kind of “pouch” formed by a heavy upper eyelid, which seems to “hang” over the moving eyelid.
To be free, in a general sense this creates the illusion of sad, tired and slightly swollen eyes. This is not an age factor, since many young girls also have such eyes. For example, the photo shows well-known overseas celebrities, for whom drooping eyelids do not seem to bother them at all. As you can see, they look great. So why do they manage to get along with this feature, and we still continue to worry? The answer to the question of how to remove drooping eyelids suggests itself: makeup. Makeup for drooping eyelids or makeup for drooping corners of the eyes will undoubtedly help you visually get rid of heavy eyelids, but, of course, it should be done following certain rules.
- Shadows. To get rid of the feeling of puffiness and heaviness, use predominantly light or pastel shades for eye makeup. Also an excellent option would be pearlescent shadows or shadows with reflective particles. Firstly, light colors will make the eyes visually larger, and secondly, they will add freshness and lightness to the look. Age makeup should also be based on this rule. But, by the way, this does not mean at all that you should get rid of all the dark shadows in your makeup bag: just use them on the area just above the natural crease of the eyelid, and also highlight the outer corner with them.
- Eyelashes. Makeup for drooping corners of the eyes is impossible without long and lush eyelashes. When creating morning or evening makeup, pay special attention to the eyelashes in the outer corner and you will immediately notice the difference. They will not only slightly hide the peculiarity of your look, but also, as it were, “pull up” the drooping corners to the top, correcting the shape and opening your eyes.
- Concealer. Since eyes with drooping eyelids already look a little tired, excess swelling below will not help you. Your makeup shouldn't be complete without concealer on the under-eye area, otherwise you'll simply add to the heaviness of your eyelids. Also be sure to use eye cream and, if possible, get a good night's sleep.
Perhaps these are the main recommendations for transforming eyes with drooping eyelids. Of course, this is not all that can help you get rid of this feature, but in fact, drooping eyelids are not at all a big problem, much less a defect that needs to be hidden behind seven locks and under ten layers of makeup. This is a completely ordinary and familiar feature, which, if properly decorated with makeup, on the contrary, can become your highlight. The fact is that the look of such eyes is piercing, languid and incredibly sexy, which, you see, is a rarity. To convince you that eyes with heavy drooping eyelids can be beautiful and attractive, we will perform 2 step-by-step makeup lessons.

Makeup for green eyes and brown hair. Evening and holiday makeup options
Evening makeup for green eyes and dark brown hair allows you to use the entire arsenal of decorative cosmetics. Here you can apply eyeshadow of even the darkest shade without hesitation, use glitter and shimmer. One of the most successful evening make-up options for a green-eyed blonde with light brown hair is the “smoky eye” technique. A light haze on the eyelids and a languid look will be the highlight of your evening look. Stages of applying evening makeup:
- Emphasizing the contour of the eyes with a pencil. It is better to take brown or dark olive. “Smoky Ice” does not allow the use of liquid eyeliner, because there should be no clear contours, and all lines should be smooth and shaded.
- The contour in the outer corner of the eye needs to be made a little thicker.
- First, apply light shadows to the eyelid, and then highlight the eyes with dark shadows on the outer corners of the eyes and along the contour of the eye socket. Don't forget about shading.
- Make sure that the color intensity decreases gradually from the outer corner of the eye to the inner one.
- The last stage is tinting with mascara. It is applied more intensively from the outer corner of the eye.
For a girl with green eyes and light brown hair, it is better not to use the classic charcoal “smoky eye” option, but to give preference to brown or lilac shades. Just a few simple steps - and you are ready to conquer the world with your beauty.
Technicians
The situation when the outer borders of the eyelids are lowered can be corrected using various techniques.
To perform various types of make-up you will need: a base that is used to treat the eyelid before applying shadows. It increases the length of time cosmetics remain on the face. Next you need a set of brushes. A flat brush is very convenient for applying cosmetics. The softer and fluffier one can be used for shading to create smooth soft transitions. And, of course, mascara.
Of course, everyone’s favorite and popular “Smoky eyes” makeup will help lift the outer corners of the eyes , as well as correct the situation if the eyes are located close to the bridge of the nose. However, it is worth noting that this technique will not only help correct some features in the structure of the face, but also give the gaze greater attractiveness and expressiveness.
- The very first step in eye makeup is applying a base for the shadows, which will allow them to remain in the right place for a long time.
- On the moving and fixed parts of the eyelids, you need to apply the lightest shade of shadow you have chosen, which suits your color perfectly.
- Next, you need to draw your eyes in such a way that the line starts approximately from the middle of the eyelid; its continuation must be drawn with a rise that would provide the eye line that you need. The line should end at approximately a forty-five degree angle. If you are making eyeliner with a pencil, then the next step should be shading it. If you use eyeliner, then you need to choose it in such a way that it matches the shade of the darkest shadows you have chosen to the maximum.
- Dark gray shadows should be applied to the entire surface of the lower eyelid, repeating the line of the eyeliner and to the outer corner of the fixed eyelid. Thus, the dark shadow layer should look like wings or petals.
Another step-by-step option that allows you to hide the peculiarity of the structure of the eyes with drooping outer corners is makeup using the “birdie” technique.
- Starting from the middle of the moving eyelid, you need to draw a line towards the outer corner of the eye and lift it at the end. It needs to be done as smoothly as possible. When drawing such a line, achieve an eye shape that will tend to be almond-shaped. It is she who is considered the most correct and ideal.
- From the middle of the border of the upper and lower eyelids to the outer corner of the eye, also create a smooth line and connect it with the one already drawn. Then you need to apply the shadows of the darkest shade and blend away from the nose.
- The rest of the eyelids should be painted with any light neutral shade or color, at your discretion.
If when creating lines, you connect them not at an angle, but in an arc or wave, this makeup option is called “wave”.
The classic version of makeup will also help correct the situation with drooping outer corners of the eyes. It is believed that this makeup option suits absolutely everyone.
- Don't forget about the base for the shadows;
- The main color must be applied to the moving eyelid;
- A lighter shade must be applied to the inner part of the moving eyelid and to the part located under the eyebrow;
- A darker shade should be applied to a third of the eyelid towards the outer corner of the eye. Moreover, when approaching the outer corner, the shade should fade into darkness.
- At each stage of applying shadows, careful shading is necessary.
Errors:
- Using pearlescent or shimmering shadows will only focus attention on areas that require adjustment.
- There is no need to line your eyes exactly along the lash line. This way the disadvantage will only be emphasized.
- Experts advise painting only the ends of the eyelashes located on the outer corners of the eye.
- You should not apply shadow to the outer corner of the eyelid, as this will only make the situation worse.
Drooping corners of the eyes surgery. Canthopexy is a simple operation to correct the shape of the eyelids
The eyes primarily show everything about a person: his mood, activity or fatigue, state of health and age. Swelling under the eyes, loose and atonic skin of the lower eyelids, drooping corners of the eyes make the face tired and sad. In almost all cases, these changes can be corrected with one simple surgical intervention.
Canthopexy allows you to lift the corners of the eyes, make the gaze more open, remove excess skin, remove shallow wrinkles and even change the shape of the eye shape.
The most aesthetically pleasing is the almond-shaped eye shape. In addition, the eye is considered more beautiful when there is no “gap” between the edge of the lower eyelid and the iris. If the lower eyelid droops, this not only changes the appearance, but also affects the function. Such patients are often diagnosed with dry eye syndrome and canthopexy is recommended for therapeutic purposes. Canthopexy can also be used simultaneously with blepharoplasty to prevent certain complications, such as eyelid eversion.
How the tissues around the eyes change
The skin around the eyes is very thin and delicate, and the muscles and tendons are weak. Therefore, it is not surprising that with age, the skin of the eyelids quickly becomes flabby, and wrinkles and bags appear under the eyes. Changes also affect the tendons that support the corner of the eye. Over the course of life, they gradually weaken, drooping the corners of the eyes and giving the face a sad look. But this appearance is not always a consequence of age-related changes in the eyelids. Sometimes the tendons can be weak since childhood, then even a small child will show signs of drooping corners of the eyes. Such problems may appear due to chronic diseases or be hereditary.
Preparing for surgery
Before canthopexy, you should first visit an ophthalmologist. Surgical intervention may lead to certain consequences, which a specialist will tell you about. In addition, he will not allow patients with high intraocular pressure, dry eye syndrome, severe myopia and some other diseases to undergo surgery.
If the ophthalmologist gives permission for canthopexy, the patient will need to undergo further extensive examination.
Typically it includes:
- general analysis of urine and blood;
- HIV tests;
- AIDS;
- hepatitis B and allergy tests;
- ECG.
If the patient has chronic diseases, the surgeon will schedule a visit to specialists in the relevant field. As soon as the research results are received, they will be examined by a general practitioner, and only then will he give an opinion on the possibility or impossibility of surgery.
Canthopexy is contraindicated for bleeding disorders, cardiovascular, endocrine and oncological diseases, diabetes mellitus, inflammatory diseases of the eyelids and some other ophthalmological problems, during pregnancy and lactation.
How is the operation performed?
Canthopexy is most often performed under local anesthesia, but anesthesia is sometimes used. The operation involves manipulation of the lateral part of the eye, in other words, the outer canthus. Currently, there are many canthopexy techniques. Among them, the following has proven itself to be the most effective and safe.
The doctor makes a small incision near the outer corner of the eye. If one-stage blepharoplasty of the lower and upper eyelids is performed, he can use the already formed access to the ligaments. Then he grabs the tendon with special instruments and stitches it to the periosteum. This allows you to significantly lift the upper and lower eyelids. At the same time, the surgeon can cut off excess skin in this area, which will add a lifting effect.
Immediately after suturing and cleaning the surgical site, the doctor will bandage your eyelids. The entire operation will take about three hours.
Rehabilitation after canthopexy
After the operation, the patient can go home immediately. The doctor warns him not to engage in strenuous physical activity or take blood thinning medications for a week after the canthopexy. In addition, you need to give your eyes a rest: it is not recommended to read or watch TV for several days after canthopexy.
After the operation, pronounced swelling of the facial tissues and hemorrhages appear. All these phenomena usually pass quickly, and after 10-15 days the patient will be happy with the reflection in the mirror. There may be postoperative pain, which can be managed with any painkiller.
Scars after canthopexy are located in natural skin folds and are therefore practically invisible. The results of canthopexy last on average up to ten years.

Makeup for blue eyes. Makeup for blue eyes step by step
For girls who have blue eyes, stylists advise creating their look using light and light shades. Beautiful makeup for blue eyes is very easy to do. First of all, to create light makeup, blue-eyed girls need to take into account an important rule: after applying the makeup base, you need to apply shadows of a lighter shade to the eyelid, and then dark ones. And if dark shadows are applied closer to the outer corner, then dark shades will look much more impressive. If you use shadows correctly, you can hide some imperfections, such as signs of fatigue. To do this, you need to apply light shades of shadow (white, silver, blue) to the inner corner of the eye. Before applying makeup, cleanse your face with toner, apply foundation and correct all imperfections on your face. Apply makeup foundation to the upper eyelid; if you don’t have such a product at hand, then apply foundation again. This will help the makeup last longer and not fall off.
Let's move on to the most important thing - step-by-step makeup for blue eyes
Step 1.
Neutral shades of eyeshadow should be applied to the upper eyelid. They will add brightness and light to your look. Also, using pearlescent shadows, lighten the area under the eyebrows and the inner corner of the eye. In addition, shades of white, silver or pale blue are suitable.
Step 2.
Apply a small amount of medium eyeshadow to the crease of your upper eyelid and blend towards your eyebrows. The beauty of blue eyes is emphasized by shades of light pink, lavender, and golden and silver shades.
Step 3.
The darkest shadows are applied to the outer corner of the eye. The boundaries should be carefully shaded so that the transition of shades is natural and not sharp. Shades of delicate plum, peach, lilac and taupe will look good in makeup.
Step 4.
Using a pencil or liquid eyeliner, highlight the upper eyelid halfway with a thin strip along the border of eyelash growth. Line the lower eyelid with a shading shade. There should be a minimum of dark contours in light makeup. Give preference to golden, brown and gray shades of eyeliner. If you apply gray eyeliner and silver on top of it, then your eyes will look much more expressive and larger.
Step 5.
Finally, you need to apply mascara along the entire line of eyelash growth. Everyday makeup for blue eyes will be ideal with dark brown or dark gray mascara. But it is best to choose the color of mascara based on your skin color. For example, for fair skin types, gray or brown mascara is suitable. And for a tanned woman - black.
Step 6.
Complete your look with lipstick that matches your lip color or a neutral gloss. Don't forget that makeup should be light.
Step-by-step instruction
The main purpose of the technique, which will be described below, is to visually raise the corners of the eyes and achieve the effect of widening the eyes. Especially for this, using proper contrasts, you can reduce the distance from the eye to the outer edge of the eyebrow, and also highlight the inner part of the eyelid.
- Makeup of this type should begin by applying shadows on the eyelids that do not have flashy shades. For the upper part of the moving eyelid, it is necessary to select shadows of light light shades, leaving the corner uncovered.
- For the crease of the upper eyelid, it is best to use darker shadows. They should be shaded, also using the corner of the eye.
- Using liquid eyeliner, draw a line from the middle of the upper eyelid to its outer corner. The arrow is raised and then moved beyond the contour of the eye at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. By slightly shading the arrow outside the eye, the latter can be made more mysterious.
- Mascara is applied to the upper eyelashes, but mostly in the middle of the eye. This visually lifts the corner of the eye. Remember, if you are trying to do everyday makeup, you should not apply more than one coat of mascara to your eyelashes.
- The area located under the outer part of the eyebrow should be enriched with light, even white shadows.
It is important to remember that the lower eyelashes, as well as the upper corners of the eyes, must be left completely untouched. Otherwise, you will definitely not be able to avoid the effect of drooping eyelids.
Makeup for drooping eyes. Eye makeup with drooping eyelids
We all have different eye shapes. Some people have almond-shaped eyes, others have round or small, deep-set or close-set eyes. Makeup is designed to hide our shortcomings and show off our strengths. We can correct the eyes with both the arrow and the shadows, bringing their shape to an ideal one. The “falling” shape of the eyelid is very common. That is, the outer corner of the eye, when viewed directly, is located slightly lower than the inner corner. Often the eyelid itself tends to droop over the eye, which makes the face sad and tired.
Unfortunately, over time, gravity lowers the outer corner of everyone's eyes. Consider a quick eye makeup with drooping eyelids. Correction using an arrow is the best option for women of elegant age and for all ladies who have this problem.
Correction of the “falling” shape of the eyelid
The easiest way to draw arrows is with black eyeliner. If you have already mastered this makeup technique, you can move on to glossy eyeliner. But now we’ll start with the simplest thing - with a delicate, finely sharpened eye pencil.
If you have not yet mastered this technique sufficiently, do not try to draw the arrow in one continuous line. Start with strokes or dots. They need to be placed at the roots of eyelash growth. After you have already drawn several dots or strokes, they should be connected into one line at the top. Check yourself as you draw the line, making sure that when you lift your eyelid, there is no clear strip of skin between the line and where the eyelashes grow. You must clearly work out every millimeter at the roots of the eyelashes.
The most common question that plagues all women who use arrows in makeup is where and how to correctly point the tip of this arrow. If you draw a straight line in continuation of the line of the lower eyelid, then your tip should not fall beyond this line, but be strictly above it. If we draw a line to the end of the eye and make a comma, we will come to what we wanted to get away from - the eyelid will “fall” again.
Therefore, using gentle movements along an ascending line, we draw out the tip. We thicken it a little towards the outer edge and lift it up. The arrow should be clearly above the continuation line of the lower eyelid.
Such arrows are already an accent. Therefore, you can then limit yourself to just mascara, carefully painting your eyelashes, light blush and gloss or lipstick. This kind of light makeup is suitable for every day, especially if you don’t have time. If you have time, then don’t waste it on more thorough makeup.
Eye makeup with drooping eyelids
As always, eye makeup requires preparing them, that is, removing oil, applying foundation and powdering. Don't forget to mask any puffiness under your eyes, if any. Only after this do we move on to the eye makeup itself.
Apply light beige or pinkish shadows to the entire upper eyelid. Then draw an arrow with a black pencil. Starting from the last third of the eye, we thicken the arrow and pull it up to the temple. To soften the line, shade the pencil.
Now we will apply dark shadows over the expanding part of the arrow and slightly beyond it. Let's blend them, moving diagonally - up and towards the temples. Highlight the inner corner of the eye and the brow bone with almost white shadows.
We emphasize the lower eyelid with shadows of a light brown or bronze shade. We'll go over its inner side with a white, or even better, pinkish pencil. Finally, curl the eyelashes and paint them thoroughly, especially on the outside of the eye.
Our eye makeup with hooded eyelids is ready. Please note that we practically do not paint the lower eyelashes, only lightly if they are not visible at all.
What is necessary
To make it easier and more correct to apply makeup to your eyes, you need to have on hand not only the usual elements of beauty products, but also some additional details:
- First of all, it will be more convenient to paint your eyes if you provide good lighting.
- A mirror of a suitable size that does not distort the reflection will facilitate the process.
- Each existing brush has its own purpose, so if you have a sufficient number of them in your cosmetic bag, then applying shadows and shading them will be much easier.
- An even skin tone plays an important role in making the result ideal. You can do this by applying the cream with your fingers, but doing it with a sponge is more convenient and economical.
- Whatever the purpose of makeup, only properly painted and curved eyelashes can complete it. If you don’t have a naturally beautiful curve, it won’t hurt to use tongs.
- False eyelash bundles are also useful for correcting your look.
- Concealer. There are no special wishes for it, so it is better to use a proven product.
- To ensure that the make-up is long-lasting and performs its task even longer, it will not be superfluous to use a primer.
- Imperfections of the cover should not spoil the overall picture, so you should purchase a corrector or concealer.
- The powder will make the skin smooth and matte.
- Blush makes it possible to correct facial features and add an attractive glow to it.
- A palette of shadows, which is chosen taking into account the young lady’s color type, the color of her eyes, and her own preferences and taste.
- Mascara. Probably every girl has a proven version of this product.
- And in a regular make-up and, especially if the corners are lowered, eyeliner, which can be classic black or gray, will help to raise them. You can use a pencil, but then the lines will not be as smooth and clear.
Makeup for sad eyes. Makeup Before and After: How to Change Sad Eyes with Makeup
What makeup should you choose if the corners of your eyes look down and your eyes seem sad?
A girl named Kamila approached Miss Heledore, a famous Polish makeup artist, and asked for advice on what makeup to choose for her face. Her question was that she did not know how to cope with the paleness of her face and the sad expression in her eyes.
Is it possible to do something and fix it with makeup?
And Miss Heledore answered the girl the following:
Camila! You have fine features, dark eyes, and your hair is a warm, amber color. To highlight your beauty, I suggest you use warm eyeshadow in muted shades of yellow, orange and brown. Lightly highlight the outer corner of the eye and the lash line with black.
- Start with a creamy shade of eyeshadow on the upper eyelid, then apply a brighter orange eyeshadow on the outer corner, starting from the center of the upper eyelid.
- Apply matte shadows in a dark bronze shade along the upper lash line.
- Apply orange and yellow eyeshadow under the eyebrow.
- Apply a little matte black shade to the outer corner of your eye. For this purpose, you can use eye shadow or eyeliner. Do the same for the lower eyelid, but note that you only need to paint a quarter of the length of the lower eyelid.
- Carefully blend all the black on the lower eyelid and duplicate the line with a matte light brown shade of eyeshadow.
- The inner corner of the eye and under the eyebrow are brightened with matte ivory shades.
- Apply makeup and comb your eyelashes.
- Apply coral lipstick to your lips.
- Apply blush in peach and pink shades to your cheekbones.
- You are perfection itself!

- Whatever the purpose and type of makeup, it should start with preparing the skin of the face. It is necessary to clean and moisten the cover.
- The skin of the eyelids is also prepared by applying a base. Thanks to her, makeup will last longer and be of better quality.
- The fixed area of the eyelids, like the moving one, is covered with shadows of a light version. But it is important that it suits the girl.
- Along the upper line of eyelash growth, a line is drawn from the middle of the eye, which goes to the edge “to take off” so that the shape of the eye becomes desired. The line color is chosen to match the shade of the shadows. If the procedure is carried out using a pencil, then it must also be shaded.
- A line is drawn along the growth line of the lower eyelashes with dark gray shadows, and it also extends to the outer corners of the fixed eyelids, so that the result is the effect of wings or petals.
"Bird"
The structure of the eyes can also be successfully corrected using the “birdie” technique:
- The facial skin is prepared using the same steps as in the previous technique.
- A neat thin, and most importantly, smooth line is drawn from the middle of the eyelid to its edge, while rising upward towards the end. With this technique, you can most easily bring the shape of the eye to the required almond shape, which is considered ideal.
- Using the same principle, a similar line is drawn along the lower eyelid, connecting to the upper.
- Dark shadows applied in the corners are shaded away from the nose.
- The remaining unpainted area is covered with neutral or bright colors.
- The end will be drawing on the eyelashes with mascara.
Classic
A successful solution will also be the use of the usual classics, which is performed according to the following scheme:
- The first step is to prepare the skin in the form of cleansing and moisturizing. After this, the above-mentioned procedures are carried out to prepare a perfectly smooth, velvety surface by applying a base, foundation and powder.
- Before applying shadow, a base is applied to the eyelids.
- The main selected color falls on the moving eyelid.
- The inner area of the moving part and the area under the eyebrow are drawn with light colors.
- On one third of the moving area, heading towards the outer edge, dark shades are placed that are in harmony with the main ones. All layers are thoroughly shaded.
- Eyelashes are lengthened and made voluminous using mascara.
The schemes, which can be used to make both light daytime makeup and more intense evening makeup, have the same beginning and differ only in the shades that are used in the process. Basic and intermediate shades of shadows are selected depending on the chosen image and color type of the girl. Moreover, even without dark cosmetics you can get an incredibly beautiful look.
And those young ladies who, in addition to the drooping edge, also have a drooping eyelid, should not be upset. It is enough to look at women with Asian appearance to be convinced that this disadvantage can easily be turned into an advantage.
The makeup scheme could be as follows:
- If you use light colors, you can visually open up your eyes and make your eyes bigger.
- Dark cosmetics are placed on the upper eyelid.
- A thin line is drawn along the eyelash growth line at the top, not forgetting the interciliary space.
- There should be white paint in the central area above the eye, and they also appear in strokes below.
- Only the upper eyelashes are painted with mascara.
How to apply eye shadow correctly
Let's start with the basics. The first thing you need to take care of is not only the presence of shadows, but also other attributes of your cosmetic bag. The main thing you need to have is a cream, a makeup base, and, of course, high-quality shadows (low-quality cheap shadows roll and crumble, but this does not mean that there are no high-quality analogues of expensive brands, because everything is individual). Also, for complete makeup, you can get foundation, highlighter, liner, pencil, mascara, blush, powder and other auxiliary cosmetics.
Now we will look at the main color makeup trends for 2020-2021 . So that you can choose a new palette not only according to your taste, but also according to fashion.
- The first trend is bright colored shadows. This one is used mainly for some events and is used quite rarely for everyday makeup, but everything is in your hands. Also, professionals use several bright colors for one makeup, which act in contrast or are related (for example: pink, purple, blue, or red and blue).
- The next trend is an emphasis on the lower eyelid. It looks especially interesting when the shadows on the upper and lower eyelids are of different shades. It looks just as trendy with bright makeup.
- Unusual arrows. Arrows of different colors (in addition to black), shaded, of different shapes, of all kinds and impossible formats.
- Fox eyes. This is makeup with a long, shaded arrow, visually narrowing the eyes, which makes the look more expressive. This makeup uses only natural shades to make it as natural as possible - brown, gray, peach, brick.
- Gold and metallic are some of the most trendy eyeshadow shades for 2020-2021.
- Also in trend is and will be in 2021 – glitter. Various variations of glitter makeup will be in trend (it’s especially good to use this makeup for festive events, such as New Year’s Eve).
- Natural makeup. Maximum natural makeup, no frills, an excellent trendy option for everyday life and for those who like a more natural, non-provoking appearance.
- Multi-colored eyelashes. You can choose colored mascara, in various colors and shades, in addition to black. Also, for lovers of eyelash extensions, salons make eyelash decorations in the form of adding a bunch of colored eyelashes (they can be in the corner, or somewhere on the stripe of the eye), the colors depend on you and your desires. There are lovers who add several colored bunches, and some add one, and also, salons, in addition to such decorations, can add sparkles and other interesting details.
Now let's move on directly to how to apply eye shadow.
- Be sure to apply a nourishing or moisturizing cream to your skin and give it a few minutes to absorb so as not to interfere with good makeup application.
- Next, you should apply a base under the shadows (but this is not entirely necessary if you applied cream). But the shadow base makes your makeup richer and brighter.
- Next, your makeup directly depends on what you want to do with your eyes: enlarge, reduce, smokey, cat-eye, make the distance between the eyes smaller or larger - each desire has its own technique. But we will look at the basic one.
- Apply a base color to the upper eyelid, covering the entire eyelid (it can be beige, white or light cream). The main thing is to shade it well.
- Next, apply the color that will be the main one. We apply it only to the moving eyelid, only slightly shading it.
- Then we darken the outer corner by applying dark shadows to it (black, or several shades darker than the color of your choice). This is done to visually enlarge the eye and widen the gaze. We shade our dark shadows, making the transition a little smoother.
- You can also lightly line the lower eyelid with the same shadows that you used to darken the corner of the eye.
- Finally, apply highlighter to the inner corner of the eye.
This is how basic makeup with shadows is done.
We would also like to give you some tips on eye makeup.
- Use fluffy, but not too large brushes for shading shadows.
- Thin brushes are better for winged eyeliner or adding fine makeup details.
- Each brush should be clean and prepared for new makeup in order to avoid mixing colors and getting unfavorable particles onto the skin. You need to wash your brushes as often as possible.
- Choose shadows exclusively for your skin type and tone, and eye color. Use the tips you can to choose your tone correctly and competently (especially if you want to achieve naturalness in your makeup).
- A softer and not as rich and eye-catching option for eyeliner as eyeliner is eyeshadow. You can line your eyes with black or dark brown shadows (it all depends on your makeup and desire) just as well as with eyeliner, only this version of makeup will look softer (this version of eyeliner is perfect for a fox look and natural makeup).
- For shadow arrows, you can use tape or paper stickers - this way you can achieve the most even arrows and make a transition without worrying about smearing too much. The main thing to remember is that it is best to glue the tape a little lower than where you would like your arrow to be. You can also use tape for eyeliner lines.
- To highlight the arrow, you can also use foundation - you just need to scoop a little onto the brush and move it to the arrow in the right place and lightly shade the foundation itself so that spots do not form.
