Makeup with beige lipstick (Nude): 20 amazing ideas with the main trend of this year

Many people classify beige lipstick as a basic lipstick - and for good reason. However, a randomly chosen shade may not be suitable. After all, there are many of them in beige colors: some are warmer, others are cooler, so you should always check whether they match your skin tone and makeup in general.

Additionally, different shades of beige lipstick can be useful for different occasions. Further in the material we will tell you who beige lipstick suits, how to find “your” shade and whether there are strict rules for its use in makeup.

Who is suitable for beige lipstick?

It is believed that the shade of beige lipstick should not be lighter than your skin tone. Therefore, dark-skinned girls would rather have a coffee-brown color. If you want to use traditional beige, choose a product with a translucent texture, a dewy “finish” and small shimmering particles.

For those who have light skin, it is important to choose a lipstick that will not blend with their tone, otherwise the lips on the face simply will not be visible - from the outside it will seem that they are “erased”, painted over with concealer.

  • Firstly, the shade must match the color type (a girl with porcelain skin is unlikely to suit a warm sand shade).
  • Second, the shade should be slightly different from your skin tone, providing a soft contrast that draws attention to your lips.

By the way, Candice Swanepoel likes to do such natural makeup with light color nuances.

Beige lipstick makes sense for anyone who doesn’t like transparent glosses and balms and is looking for a replacement—also neutral, that can fit into any look.

Choosing beige lipstick shades to match your look

Nude makeup is a technique that provides lightness to your appearance. Makes flaws invisible and emphasizes advantages. Beige lipstick is the main element of this makeup.

Beige lips are an excellent choice for a smokey eye style; they will add sexiness and originality to the image.

For a retro style, this is also a great touch, muted lips and brightly highlighted eyes.

Some options can be seen in detail in the photo of makeup with beige lipstick.

The vast majority of well-known world brands certainly use beige lipsticks in their practice, which provide a look of well-groomed and wealthy appearance.

Types of beige lipstick

1

Matte

Most often, those who choose a beige lipstick with a matte texture end up with a fairly noticeable emphasis on the lips. The velvety “finish” attracts attention due to the fact that it creates the impression of color density. If you combine this lipstick with rich smoky eyes in dark shades, it can even “overload” the image. With matte lipstick on your lips, it is better to highlight your eyes only slightly.

2

Shining

Beige lipsticks with a radiant texture are most often almost invisible on the lips - the coating is translucent, with a barely noticeable moist shine. It is much better suited for “no makeup makeup” than matte lipstick, unless the tube contains large shimmer particles - glitter in the spirit of the 1990s.

3

Warm

Beige lipstick in warm shades will harmoniously complement the makeup of girls with a warm skin tone. Often the beige shade is diluted with splashes of red-brown, which gives the lips a moderate sensuality. The result looks very natural - as if the color of your lips is this naturally.

4

Cold

Cool shades of beige lipstick are more reminiscent of foundation. They have a bit of ashy gray to them. It is logical that lipstick in a cold beige shade is more suitable for girls with a cold color type, but those with very fair skin should not get carried away with such products - they will emphasize pallor.

Separately, it is worth noting the shade, which is known as taupe - a combination of gray and brown. The result is something between a warm and cool color; this makes the lipstick truly versatile. You don’t have to worry about matching the shade to the color type.

Important Factors

Beige lipstick is selected based on skin color in any case. So, if the skin is light with a porcelain tint, then it is better not to use beige tones, except perhaps translucent ones. The beige color itself will look rough on such skin. You can choose a beige-pink shade of lipstick and use it. It is just right in this case. If the skin is light, but without a porcelain tint, then in this case you can choose beige, also in a pinkish tone, or peach or lilac. Olive skin is neutral in itself. Almost everything will suit its owners. In this case, it is better to use a rich beige tone, for example apricot or “caramel”. If your skin tone is medium, choose a lipstick in a shade of caramel or mauve. For those with dark skin, beige lipsticks with shades like latte are suitable.

Matte beige lipstick looks harmonious on women of middle age and older. Representatives of the younger generation are more suitable for sparkles.

When choosing lipstick, pay attention to its texture. It can be shiny, glossy, or matte. They also produce wet, pearlescent, translucent decorative lipsticks. The matte option is not so suitable for beige, but those with plump lips can use it. Are your lips thin? Then lipstick with glitter will do. It will add volume to them. Pearlescent beige is attractive in appearance, but it is only suitable for a smooth face. Otherwise it won't look very good.

Makeup with different shades of beige lipstick

Once you have found your “own” shade of beige lipstick, using it in make-up will not be difficult. If the lipstick is barely noticeable on the lips, it can complement intense eye makeup - for example, a circular outline.

But shades with the addition of pink, brown or brick-red pigments may well become the center of attention.

Casual nude makeup with beige lipstick

When creating casual makeup, use a radiant beige balm lipstick in combination with thin black eyeliner or a light haze of shadows shaded along the eyelash contour.

Another option is to apply liquid matte lipstick on your lips (it will last all day) and just paint on your eyelashes. By the way, we talked about good nude lipsticks for every day here. You will find one of the makeup options with nude lipstick in our video.

Lipstick for all color types

In our VK group I am often asked the question: how to choose lipstick? I made a few notes on this topic and decided to put them into one post, as well as add different techniques for applying lipstick. We have already talked about red lipstick and now we will look at the other various shades.

LV Lilac Spring

Pink and purple lipstick shades perfectly complement fair LV skin. Red lipstick can be deep scarlet, red-pink or slightly transparent, similar to lingonberry jam. Pink-coffee look very interesting on the ruddy porcelain skin of Lilac Spring , especially in combination with gray-pearl eye makeup; In general, makeup in grey-beige tones greatly decorates LV and does not make the face gray. Try chemical shades of lipsticks and glosses: nuclear pinks, bright lilacs and coral tones look great with porcelain skin and blonde hair. Be careful with red and brick lipsticks - they look a little heavy on Lilac Spring and take away the blush; it is better to replace peachy-red with pink-coral. Wine tones of lipsticks are very rich and make the lips a black spot on the face of LV, so choose dark lipsticks with a translucent texture. Beige nude tones should have at least a slight shimmer - then the lips will not get lost on a fair face; Be sure to complement nude lips with smoky eye makeup. Avoid too thick a heavy layer of lipstick: the delicate appearance of LV needs a subtle application of lipstick without a hard contour - this way the light airy look of Lilac Spring will be preserved.

ZV Golden Spring

Combine cool lipstick with warm blush, or vice versa, warm lipstick and cool blush - this technique is interesting especially during the Golden Spring, in this case a beautiful cool accent appears, and a warm shade warms the skin. I don’t really like lipsticks and glosses with mother-of-pearl on the appearance of Golden Spring (but in moderation); Again, combine the opposite - a shiny lipstick with a matte face, but it is best to use lipsticks with a classic creamy texture. You can choose almost any shade of lipstick, excluding extremely light and excessively dark inky shades - too light a tone will look like children's colored chalk on your lips, and too dark will look like dirt... stick to the golden mean). During the period of active tanning in Golden Spring, it is suitable to paint your lips with lipsticks and glosses, avoiding defining a clear outline - contouring is good on a light, untanned face, and an image with a light tan goes better with “kissed” fresh lips. Don’t be afraid of bright shades of lipstick - they are ideal for Golden Spring, making your skin fresh and your appearance expressive; bright lipsticks look interesting even on ZV’s bare face. Separately, I would like to note lipsticks in orange shades - they can visually make Golden Spring skin more uniform in tone, and therefore fresher and firmer) again, avoid excessive pearlescent, orange looks most relevant in a matte texture.

PL Transparent summer

Choose only cool shades of lipsticks and glosses, because warm tones make Transparent Summer skin look sallow. Use colorful and bright tones - they will refresh your face, but it is better to avoid lipsticks and glosses in vague gray-beige shades. Classic nude tones simply erase the lips from the face PL, so as a nude you need to use pink-beige lipsticks slightly darker than the skin - this way the lips will not “get lost” on a pale face, and a touch of pink will refresh the skin. the dark shades be slightly transparent, not dull, and preferably more colorful than dirty. I like any lipstick texture for Transparent Summer: matte, creamy, pearlescent or with soft shimmer, but avoid very light pearlescent lipsticks, which again dissolve the lips on the PL face. Try bright chemical shades of lipsticks and glosses: hot pink, fuchsia, coral best decorate pale skin. I would especially like to note the cool tones of the tint for lips - almost all tints that I have come across leave a slightly chemically cool tint on the lips - ideal for the porcelain skin of Transparent Summer). When I made a selection of photos of lipsticks for Transparent Summer, it turned out that almost all the (already small) famous PL girls focus primarily on the eyes, and use discreet and inexpressive lipsticks. However, in my opinion, the Transparent Summer color type can emphasize both the eyes and the lips - given the low contrast color of PL (this is when the skin, hair and eyes are the same range - in the case of PL everything is gray-greenish), these both accents can organically highlight facial features. Of course, you shouldn’t combine super-black smoky-eyes and burgundy lipstick, I mean more discreet techniques.

OL Olive Summer

Choose cool and neutral shades of lipsticks and gloss, avoid excessive brightness - it will overshadow the appearance of Olive Summer and make it less contrasting and gray. Do not use orange , brick and overtly warm peach tones: they worsen Olive summer skin and make the look older. It is the shimmering textures of lipsticks and gloss that will best reveal the beauty of the color type - pink , red, beige or plum - let there be at least a little shimmer in any color; but matte or classic cream lipsticks can emphasize pigmentation, so in combination with such textures, be especially careful to even out your skin tone). Take a closer look at the shades of grapes and plums - these tones can be both light and dark; choose a texture of such shades that is slightly transparent, not dull - this way the makeup will be fresher and lighter, and you won’t have to use the outdated technique of outlining your lips with a pencil before applying lipstick. the red sparkling shades look like candied berries - cherries, lingonberries, raspberries. Separately, I would like to note the restrained lilac tones, which best decorate the skin of summer color types. And I highly recommend finding the perfect beige-grapefruit shade of lipstick that will be useful to you for every day, it should be slightly darker than the skin and due to this it will softly outline the shape of the lips, and the emphasis will remain on the magical eyes of Olive Summer.

MO Copper Autumn

Any lipstick/gloss should contain pink pigment - it is this that harmoniously accentuates the blush of Copper Autumn, but lipsticks and glosses of warm red shades emphasize the yellowness of the skin, extinguish the blush and spoil the complexion. If there is a bright accent on your lips, leave your eyebrows as natural as possible - then the makeup will not be too heavy. When there are a lot of freckles on the skin, choose creamy and matte textures of lipsticks, but smoother skin with almost no freckles can withstand delicate shimmer, but it is better not to use frankly pearlescent lipsticks at all; they will be successfully replaced by gloss with color, but without glitter. Red lipstick should be strictly mixed with pink or lingonberry ; avoid red-red and brick-red shades, especially with shimmer. nude beige tones be a little darker than the skin and always with a drop of pink - then the lips will not get lost on a pale face. Lipsticks and glosses in acid-pastel tones of coral and bubblegum pink go chic with red hair - these chemical colors beneficially refresh the face of Copper Autumn even without blush. Don't forget about tints - they are ideal for porcelain skin. And for the bravest ones, I suggest trying lilac lipstick - with red hair and freckles you will get a very impressive and fresh look.

KO Chestnut Autumn

Any warm shades will go well with Autumn Autumn skin, but cool (especially dusty) tones in makeup make KO’s complexion look unhealthy; bright, cold lipsticks generally look separate from the face and look strange. Nude beige lipsticks and glosses are ideal for Kashtanki, provided that the beige does not look cool and dirty. Pink shades of lipsticks and glosses highlight brown hair and can look quite interesting on KO; additionally “warm up” them with warm eye makeup - for example, peach or caramel shadows. The ideal red lipstick for KO should have a brick red hue (a low-key red-auburn) and preferably a creamy texture with no shimmer or minimal light shimmer. Frankly peach and red lipsticks are perfect for Chestnut autumn - they visually even out skin tone, reduce the appearance of redness and imperfections, make Chestnut look fresher and more beautiful - you can wear such lipsticks even on a “naked” face without makeup and you will be as fresh as a rose. Wine tones add KO age, so instead try warm coffee and burgundy lipsticks - cream or translucent. Thick pearlescent color does not suit KO, but glosses and lipsticks with light shimmer look good in Chestnut Autumn only if you have perfect skin, so when choosing a lipstick or gloss for every day, rely on a beautiful color, and not on shimmer/pearl. In the summer you can try coral shades - better not those that are acid pink , but those that look like a chemical peach; of course, choose the brightness to your taste.

FZ Porcelain winter

The Porcelain Winter color type has the ideal appearance for a wide variety of shades and textures in makeup. Like an artist's blank canvas, FZ's porcelain skin perceives paint exactly as it appears in the box. If on other color types the skin tone makes its own adjustments, and the colors of the applied makeup become dull or change their shade, then on Porcelain Winter the pure color remains pure without impurities or changes. The same thing happens with lipsticks - Porcelain Winter can afford any (!) colors of lip coverings, and everything on it will look interesting - some better, some worse, but interesting in any case. Of course, cool and neutral shades best accompany fair skin FZ, but warm tones are also allowed. Try different textures: cream, matte, shiny and pearlescent - the face of Porcelain Winter is simply created for bold experiments. An important point: any makeup (including lipstick/gloss) looks most impressive on the pink, untanned skin of Porcelain winter.

NZ Night winter

The most important rule when choosing lipsticks for Winter Night: without tanning, wear only cool and cold shades, and with tanning, you can also add warm tones to this range. For nude shades, choose slightly pink ones, otherwise yellow-beige lipstick will worsen your complexion. The best red lipstick for Winter Night is a cool, complex red shade; by the way, these red lipsticks are the most common on sale, so it’s almost impossible to go wrong. Subtle mauve and pink-beige tones are good for every day - try them in shimmer, cream or matte textures. Neutral, light or understated dusty lipsticks with discreet shimmer are the perfect complement to your makeup when you focus on the eyes. Wine shades in any texture (dense or translucent) look most impressive at night in winter. Be careful when using overt red lipsticks and blushes(!) - they look good only with a tan, but without a tan they worsen the complexion NZ, try pink-coral tones instead. Chemical colors of lipsticks and glosses can make the appearance of Night Winter even brighter; choose them according to the same principle: without tanning, cold tones, with tanning - any).

* * *

So, we have sorted out all the color types, and now we can discuss the current techniques for applying lipstick, which will add to your makeup that very casual luxury of applying lipstick practically on the run. If the lipstick suits you 100%, it will look good applied with your fingers, in a thick layer, and translucently... How to find that very color? Be sure to smear the lipstick on your hand when testing - it is when you smear it that the main color (which we see in the tube) will go away and the second tone of the lipstick will appear. So, for example, it happens that the lipstick seems warm, but when smeared, it turns pink-raspberry on the hand. Of course, this indicates that the shade on the lips will be cold. Warm colors remain warm even when smeared, while dusty colors should not leave a chemical pink-raspberry trace when smeared.

Contour concealer

Lip pencil has long had a bad reputation. What kind of endurance do you need to have in order to outline the perfect contour for 15 minutes and at the same time know that all this beauty will be eaten instantly at lunch! Nowadays, beauty simply must be comfortable. And now a saving solution has appeared: use a concealer or camouflage pencil that matches your skin tone as a contour product. The density of this product can be absolutely anything - from the light texture of a concealer to a denser corrector or pencil, which really restrains the spreading of the contour of a contrasting lipstick - red or dark. And the most important advantage of this technique is that you do not need to buy a separate pencil; you can use the product that you use to mask post-acne spots on your face.

1. Universal makeup pencil NYX Wonder Pencil 2. Corrector pencil in a mini BOBBI BROWN Face Touch up Stick (this is generally a convenient thing - it will fit even in the smallest handbag!)
Soft lip contour

In our era of quick makeup, a clearly drawn lip line is associated with the image of “look, but don’t touch.” Excessively applied makeup deprives its owner of freedom - you need to make sure that nothing is smeared or erased even during friendly hugs, and I’m generally silent about the date. Therefore, leaving a soft lipstick contour is an excellent technique for daytime and evening makeup. You can apply lipstick with your fingers or touch the lipstick to your lips using a pressing motion. And for a more accurate effect, use concealer or corrector around the perimeter of the lips.

Combining two lipsticks

It would seem a complex story - why two lipsticks, because one is enough? But you probably have very bright or too dark lipsticks that you wear very rarely on occasion... But if you apply a rich shade, for example, over a beige nude lipstick, the bright color can be “calmed” and diluted. In this technique, it is better to avoid a clear contour of the lips - let everything be careless and artistic!

Wet color

We often lack moisture from lipstick, I noticed this myself, and in our VK group there were opinions that many lipsticks openly dry out the lips. Nowadays, many lipsticks are made with a glycerin base, and glycerin even has the ability to draw moisture from the skin in dry air. Therefore, you can use transparent gloss as a base for any lipstick - it will keep your lips moisturized. You need to apply just a little gloss and add lipstick on top of it with your fingers. By the way, you can also use transparent glosses with a push up effect to increase the volume of your lips; these glosses are also labeled as lip maximazer. After application, such products cause a chill in the lips, which indicates that the product has begun to act.

1. LOREAL Top Gloss Push Up 2. DIOR Lip Maximazer 3. LUMENE Creme Lip Gloss shade Autumn
Miss napkin

Another great trick: a napkin is often recommended for blotting the first layer of lipstick, so that only the color pigment remains on the lips after the napkin. Usually they then advise applying a second layer of lipstick... But wait, with a napkin you can create beautiful matte lips without a heavy coating!) So instead of the classic second layer of lipstick, apply a little color with your fingers to the center of the lips - the look will be lighter and more relevant than 100 kg of lipstick on lips. And the napkin technique is perfect for those occasions when you need to look restrained but fresh.

Lipstick for thin lips

Thin lips are not uncommon and need special attention. Looking at Kirsten Dunst's lips as an example, you can clearly see how outdated pearlescent pink lipstick is:

1. Natural lips without makeup 2. Beige lipstick to match the skin tone practically erases the lips from the face 3. The darkest possible lipstick for thin lips 4. Lipstick/gloss should have a pronounced color that refreshes the skin 5. Bright lipstick in a creamy texture without pearl looks noble, despite the rich shade 6. It’s not a bad option when the lipstick is creamy and differs from the tone of the face, but I recommend a more colored option 7. Red lipstick is perfect for thin lips 8. The outdated technique of pearlescent pink lipstick for thin lips is associated with a look from the 90s and adds age 9. Be careful with wine lipstick: let it be colored and not too dark - this will prevent your lips from becoming a black stripe on your face in the style of Marticia Adams
Nails matching lipstick

It would seem that such a technique has long been considered outdated, but designers periodically remember it. And we, girls, can use this technique just at that moment when we are already tired of all the colored varnishes/lipsticks, and we want something eternal: calm strawberry shades, delicate nude tones, thick pink or peach... And a manicure to match the lipstick - as a continuation of your favorite color. This technique is best used for discreet shades. If your lips and nails are fuchsia, it’s too much!

* * *

And I’ll touch a little on color typing errors in choosing lipstick. I purposely publish smaller photos just to highlight the problems. Let’s face it, I’ve also happened to buy the wrong lipsticks, and without any regret I give them to my friends. It is much more pleasant when lipstick is used than lying forgotten in a cosmetic bag. And in general, we need to organize a special day for exchanging lipsticks! After all, just like shoes, you can’t have too many lipsticks)

1. Lilac spring: too dark lipsticks look like a “black hole” 2. Lilac spring: heavy warm shades worsen the complexion 3. Lilac spring: too thick a layer of lipstick/gloss looks harsh against a light, delicate appearance 4. Lilac spring: red shades lipsticks take away the blush 5. Transparent summer: orange lipsticks and blush look separate from the face, and the skin becomes visually like that of a dead person 6. Transparent summer: dusty shades of lipsticks make the appearance gray 7. Transparent summer: everything orange, red-orange and red are contraindicated ! 8. Transparent summer: warm shades of lipstick worsen the complexion 9. Olive summer: orange lips make the complexion truly green 10. Olive summer: warm shades worsen the complexion 11. Olive summer: the skin lacks the natural glow to wear such categorical shades like pearlescent purple 12. Olive summer: avoid overly bright shades of lipstick - they make the appearance less contrasting and the complexion gray 13. Chestnut autumn: cold lipsticks look separate from the face, fatally worsen the appearance 14. Chestnut autumn: cool and dusty shades in make-up significantly adds age (5 years exactly...) 15. Chestnut autumn: wine lipsticks age even with a tan 16. Copper autumn: warm shades of lipsticks do not decorate and merge with the appearance 17. Copper autumn: beige lipstick without a touch of pink worsens the complexion 18. Copper autumn: strictly avoid red-red lipsticks - they make the face “red after a bath” 19: Night winter: warm beige lipsticks worsen skin tone without a tan 20. Night winter: warm shades make the skin greener (pink foundation helps a little here, but green neck visible)

And in order not to end the post on a sad note, I’ll add some more successful lipstick looks:

The contour of the concealer to match your skin tone is clearly visible here.
Pastel lilac lipsticks are perfect for LV, PL, MO and FZ, although they look interesting on other color types
Choose coffee lipsticks with a translucent creamy texture and without pearl, although a slight shimmer is acceptable

These colors, slightly diluted with white, have long been recognized as the most summer colors)
The soft contour favorably lightens the wine lipstick

Timeless classics: pink lipstick and caramel shadows
Increasingly you can see on sale a very convenient universal cream product for lips and cheeks
Matte pastel lilac lipstick in a beautiful duet with red lenses
Strawberry lipstick of a calm light red color will suit everyone without exception.
And our usual category “for the most daring” - combine unusual lipstick and colored mascara! (especially suitable for porcelain color types LV, PL, MO, FZ)
