Photos of new fashionable women's coats for fall-winter 2015-2016 are inspiring! Some want to lose weight and make their figure perfect for wearing a stylish fitted coat, others want to invest in an expensive designer coat made of luxurious cashmere. Among the styles that hit the runway this season, you'll find coats for the skinny and fat, long feminine styles with hems that almost cover the shoes, and short coats that approach the look of comfortable sports jackets. We present the most important trends in fashion for women's coats fall-winter 2015-2016.
Plaid coats
A classic that's hard to resist because it easily adapts to any season and any style. You can choose a coat with a small or large check, black and white or colored, a long or short pea coat, and you won’t go wrong, because checkered coats appeared on the catwalk in large numbers and variety.
Suede coat
A suede coat is a very practical and at the same time stylish thing. Such a coat can be inherited from mother to daughter, because it is practically impossible to wear it out.

Oversized coat
The trend of increasing coats to enormous sizes is gradually subsiding, but there are brands that continue to make such things the accents of their collections. The “from someone else’s shoulder” style does not look as straightforward as before. More and more coats have very wide sleeves and a loose waist area. In the Fendi collection, hyper-voluminous quilted long down jackets appeared, which previously could only be seen in the collections of avant-garde Japanese.
Coat in minimalist style
Smoothness, crisp cut and clean lines are combined in fashionable coats with calm pastel shades or deep noble colors. Pay attention to the collections of Bally, Jil Sander, Christian Siriano, Edun, Derek Lam, Christian Dior - you will find beautiful elegant coats for fans of classic feminine chic.

Coat with wide lapels
This is not the first time we have seen women's coats with wide or very large lapels on the catwalk. The trend is expanding the boundaries; now large lapels are decorated not only with minimalistic oversize coats, which was common before, but also with other models, becoming the main accent of the image. Look for coats with wide lapels in the collections of Antonio Berardi, Trussardi, Christian Siriano, Eudon Choi, Etro, Nina Ricci, No.21.
Coat with fur collar
did you think that lapels are now only worn “naked”? Nothing of the kind, because fur collars appeared in large quantities on coats, sometimes skillfully “pretending” to be fur scarves. Fur collars decorate women's coats both in the old fashioned way, traditionally lying close to the chest or wrapped around the neck, and in other ways, for example, partially hanging down, as if accidentally torn off.
Coat with hood
Such coats are always held in high esteem by girls who do not want to spoil their hair with a headdress, while a hood can cope with its main responsibility just as well. The only problem is that until recently, a coat with a hood seemed rustic and completely unfashionable to many. And since this is shown on the catwalk, it will definitely migrate to the fashionable streets along with street style, and we, to the delight of our loved ones, will begin to wear fashionable coats with a hood, keeping our hairstyles in their original form.
Decor
By playing with the decor of their inventions, the designers have outdone themselves. What kind of designs were not seen at fashion shows! Unusual patterns, embroidery, jewelry, catchy metal accessories, brooches. Some fashion houses presented products with ready-made accessories: scarves, gloves, stoles, made of the same material as the coat. Others went even further and created ready-made fall-winter ensembles that include a hat, shoes, trousers, skirt and dresses from a single color palette and decor.
The range of fashionable coats is huge: feminine and rough, short and long, catchy and discreet, tight-fitting and wide.
All that remains is to find in this variety the model that will demonstrate to the world your delicate taste. Tough coat
The rigid architectural forms of the coat resemble sculptures, sometimes harmonious, symmetrical, and sometimes reminiscent only of a sketch by the author, who for some reason stopped and decided not to continue. However, this year most designers have abandoned unnecessary shocking, and coats in this style look wearable and do not cause any complaints among fans of traditionalism in fashion.
Trend #20 B&W
White top, black bottom - the standard we were taught to at school. Don't forget about him, at least this season. A white coat, with strict black stripes, smoothly flowing into classic trousers - a classic that overcomes its limits.
Fashion comes and goes, some trends replace others. We want you to stay at the top of this race, and we hope that this material will bring us closer to our goal.

Fur coats
Not exactly fur coats, which are distinguished by the lushness of their fur, fur coats are winning the catwalk and our hearts, trying to gain trust and the right to coexist next to luxurious fur coats and classic warm natural sheepskin coats. If you think that fur has little ability to transform, just look at fur coats in checks and stripes, in leopard print, with natural and faux fur, in pastel and bright deep shades.
Coat with contrasts and accents
To stand out from the crowd of classic silhouettes, you don’t always need to buy non-trivial clothes with an off-scale level of outrageousness. It is enough to pay attention to a coat with a large accent, which can be contained in combined materials, a wide belt, unusual sleeves, contrasting pockets or a collar.
Trend No. 3. With fringe and feathers
Fringe can be confidently called the invader of the autumn-winter season 2015-16. It is located everywhere: on bags, trousers and jeans, dresses and skirts, sweaters and blouses. The decor was inspired by Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Lanvin. They were the first to use fringe in outerwear design, creating flowing coats with flirty feathers, airy threads, laces and other weightless fabric threads.
Long coats
We agree that this is not very practical, especially for those who live in a climate that is not conducive to wearing light-colored and long clothes in rainy weather. But if you don’t care about this and you like very long coats, the hem of which can get tangled, take on this trend by choosing a length from the middle of the shin and below.
Maxi length
A floor-length coat is a rather rare item in a woman's wardrobe. It can be compared to the robe of some royal person. Are you invited to a dinner party and are having trouble choosing what to wear over your beautiful evening dress? A long coat will be a great companion. In such a coat, movements become smooth and majestic, you have nowhere to rush and you can afford it. Is not it?

Duffle coat
Perhaps this is a coat with the most obvious style and its own character, which can be easily adjusted to suit your own fashion and practical needs. Familiar images of duffle coats are offered by Christopher Raeburn, J.Crew and Prabal Gurung, brands Lemaire and Louis Vuitton offer feminine versions of the duffle coat, and a fur coat in this style has appeared in the Tommy Hilfiger collection.
Coat with fur details
Fur is present in a coat not only as a base material, but also as an addition, an excellent and always appropriate winter accessory that decorates pockets, cuffs, lapel areas, and pockets. Designers creatively approached the possibility of decorating coats with fur, and gave themselves free rein, resulting in interesting models with fur sleeves, fur “patches” on the chest or on the entire front of the coat.
Cape coats
Capes are now not as numerous as before, even compared to the spring-summer season, but their images have been reworked and supplemented, thanks to which we can observe a model of cape coats, which can be taken offhand for ordinary classic women's coats or simple ponchos. They come in an elegant and business style, but do not lose their retro charm.
Fabrics and finishing of coats 2015/2016
When sewing coats, various fabrics are traditionally used - from the lightest for fine autumn days to the “heavy” ones, which are optimal for bad weather and wind. The most important trend of the 2015-2016 season was the combination of several contrasting materials in one product. Thus, designers used fur, wool and leather to sew women's coats. Moreover, there are often coat models made from all of the listed fabrics at once. Feathers and fringes, which are found in abundance in designer collections, have already become a traditional decoration for coats in autumn-winter. Along with them, eminent couturiers offer expressiveness to current models using a thin belt or wide belt, interesting design of pockets and cuffs, large buttons, an original collar or a deep V-neck.
Leopard coats
In addition to the ever-increasing popularity of fashionable bags with leopard print in the fall-winter 2015-2016 season, coats with predatory prints are also diverse. You can choose fur or wool versions, coats with traditional leopard print or in slightly muted colors. In any case, you will not go unnoticed in such a coat, even if the leopard adorns only the lapels of your coat, as suggested by Marc Jacobs.
