Option 1: Classic recipe for oatmeal porridge with milk

We are sure there is no point in talking about the benefits of oatmeal in the morning. Much has been written about how much energy and benefits it gives the body. But today we will focus on the options that can be made. Let's start with the classic oatmeal porridge with milk.

Ingredients:

  • a glass of Hercules cereal;
  • two and a half glasses of fresh milk;
  • 29 grams of butter (butter);
  • salt for porridge;
  • two spoons of sugar to the porridge.

Step-by-step recipe for oatmeal porridge with milk

Pour all the fresh milk into the saucepan. Place on the burner and bring to a boil over medium heat.

As soon as it starts to rise (don't miss this moment!), add a small pinch of salt.

In addition, introduce a full glass of oatmeal. Mix vigorously with a long spoon or spatula. Immediately reduce the fire to a minimum.

Cook oatmeal porridge in milk for 10-11 minutes. Continue mixing, no longer so active, periodically so that the flakes do not stick together.

At the end, pour a couple of spoons of sugar and a piece of fresh butter inside. Lightly whisk the contents of the saucepan and cover tightly with a lid.

Let the porridge brew for about a quarter of an hour, then mix again and pour into plates. When serving, add cookies.

Depending on the type of cereal, the boiling time may vary slightly (from 7 to 14 minutes). Watch the degree of their softness and turn off the heat as soon as Hercules is ready.

Milk oatmeal porridge

  7. After the specified time, the finished dish can be decorated and served!

Option 2: Quick recipe for oatmeal porridge with milk

In stores you can buy not only simple flakes, but also instant ones. It is with them that we will prepare the next option.

Ingredients:

  • a glass of instant Hercules cereal;
  • two to three tablespoons of white sugar;
  • two glasses of hot milk;
  • vanilla to taste.

How to quickly cook oatmeal porridge with milk

In a small saucepan, bring fresh milk to a strong boil. At the same time, make sure that it does not “run away.”

Now pour the instant cereal into a clean, dry bowl. Cover them with sugar and add just a little vanilla for flavor.

Pour hot milk thinly on top, distributing evenly. Stir in a circle and immediately cover with a lid so that there is no gap left.

Infuse the oatmeal porridge in milk for five minutes. Then remove the lid, stir breakfast and serve with a slice of bran bread.

Although these flakes soften fairly quickly in hot milk, make sure they are done before serving. If you think the porridge is not ready, microwave it for a couple of minutes.

With honey and milk

If you cook oatmeal with milk and honey and add walnuts to it, you will get an excellent nutritious breakfast.

To work you will need:

  • 0.5 l of milk;
  • 0.3 l of water;
  • 0.4 kg of rolled oats;
  • 0.15 kg of nuts;
  • cinnamon and vanilla;
  • liquid honey to taste.

Option 3: Hercules porridge with dried fruits and milk

Dried fruits are ideal for oatmeal porridge, which is why in the third recipe we decided to offer raisins, prunes and dried apricots as additional ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • a full glass of rolled oats;
  • six pieces of dried apricots;
  • a quarter cup of raisins;
  • three prunes;
  • 595 grams of fresh milk;
  • a tablespoon of sugar;
  • butter into porridge.

How to cook

Wash all dried fruits with the soft side of a sponge in warm water. Blot away excess moisture with paper towels.

Chop dried apricots and prunes into small pieces. Mix together with raisins in a dry bowl.

Bring fresh milk to a boil over high heat. Remove the thin film and immediately add a full spoon of sugar.

Reduce the burner temperature to minimum. Add rolled oats flakes. Stir the contents of the saucepan with light movements throughout the entire process.

Cook oatmeal porridge in milk for eight to ten minutes, after which add all the chopped dried fruits. Add oil.

Now turn off the fire. Stir and cover tightly. Let it brew, which will take about a quarter of an hour. Serve breakfast by pouring it into plates.

Since we will be steaming dried fruits in hot porridge, they will have time to become soft. But if you are afraid that this will not happen, leave them in boiling water after rinsing and until you add them to the saucepan.

How to cook Hercules in a slow cooker

You can cook oatmeal porridge in a slow cooker with the addition of dried fruits. This dish will be tasty, rich and nutritious. In this case, the ratio of liquid to cereal should be slightly less than 2:1.

To work you will need the following products:

  • 0.7 l milk;
  • 0.3 kg of flakes;
  • 150 g prunes or dried apricots;
  • sugar and salt;
  • cinnamon.
  • a piece of butter.

Cooking “Hercules” with dried fruits in a slow cooker:

  1. Soak the dried fruits in cold water for a quarter of an hour, then dry and chop if necessary.
  2. Place dried apricots or prunes in the multicooker bowl, pour in flakes, sugar and salt, pour in milk and set the porridge cooking mode.
  3. At the end of cooking, add cinnamon and butter, stir the dish, and then close the lid again and let it steam a little.

Advice. To ensure that “Hercules” does not burn to the bowl, before adding the ingredients, you need to rub it with butter or vegetable oil.

Option 4: Hercules porridge with milk and nuts in pots

Once upon a time, porridge was prepared exclusively in the oven and in pots. Today the first one is difficult to find, even in the village, but there are no problems with the second one. It is in them that we will make the next porridge.

Ingredients:

  • a third of a glass of peeled walnuts;
  • a third of a glass of peanuts;
  • two and a half glasses of medium-fat milk;
  • a glass of rolled oats;
  • three spoons of sugar;
  • two knobs of butter for the pots.

Step by step recipe

Beat walnuts without partitions and shell fragments together with peanuts without husks in a mortar until they form coarse crumbs.

Now wipe the two clay pots dry. Coat the inner surface with butter. Pay special attention to the top edge, which will not allow the milk to “escape.”

So, at the next stage, add half a glass of oatmeal. Add one and a half tablespoons of sugar. Add an equal volume of the nut mixture.

At the end of preparation, pour milk (a glass at a time) and mix a couple of times in a circle. Immediately place the pots in a heated oven. Do not cover with a lid.

Cook oatmeal porridge in milk for about 20 minutes, after which cover the pots. Leave inside to infuse, turning off the stove.

This version of nut porridge can be served with oatmeal directly in pots. In this case, place flat saucers under them to avoid burning your hands and the surface of the table.

Option 6: Hercules porridge in milk with canned peaches in a slow cooker

We suggest cooking the last version of oatmeal in a slow cooker. It is in this modern machine that breakfast will turn out to be exceptionally tender. But we will use canned peaches as an additional fruit ingredient.

Ingredients:

  • four halves of canned peaches;
  • three glasses of milk;
  • spoon (tablespoon) of sugar;
  • a glass of oatmeal;
  • butter into porridge.

Step by step recipe

Step 1:

Pour three full glasses of milk into a bowl (dry and clean). Wait until it boils in the “Cooking” mode. Remove the film.

Step 2:

Pour in the flakes and mix with a silicone spatula. Cook the porridge, stirring three or four times, for ten minutes.

Step 3:

During this time, remove four halves of canned peaches. Get wet from the syrup. Cut into small cubes.

Step 4:

After the specified time has passed, add sugar to the oatmeal porridge with milk. Also add peach slices. Turn off the multicooker.

Step 5:

Leave the breakfast to stand under a tightly closed lid for another ten minutes. Then pour into plates and top with crispy cookies.

Canned peaches are sweet on their own, so we added a small amount of sugar to prevent the porridge from being too cloying. In any case, before steaming, taste it for sweetness and adjust the amount of this ingredient to taste.

Option 5: Hercules porridge with berries and milk

Berries, like nuts and dried fruits, go perfectly with any oatmeal. The main thing is to add them at the very end.

Ingredients:

  • three tablespoons of raspberries;
  • three spoons of blueberries;
  • three spoons of blackberries;
  • 605 grams of milk;
  • standard glass of cereal (“Hercules”);
  • three spoons of sugar;
  • butter for porridge.

How to cook

Wash all berries carefully. Look through the process to see if there are any damaged areas and remove them if found. Lay out to dry in one layer on a dry towel.

While this is happening, bring fresh, cold milk to a boil in a clean saucepan. As soon as it increases, reduce the temperature and remove the film.

While stirring hot milk, add oatmeal. Continue mixing. Cook the porridge for about ten minutes.

Then add white sugar and butter. Actively, but as carefully as possible, whisk the oatmeal porridge with milk.

Pour breakfast into bowls and sprinkle with equal amounts of different berries. Serve immediately hot.

It is better to add the berries when serving, otherwise they will soften and release juice. And what is important to us is not so much a beautiful appearance, which is important, but also the preservation of useful substances that will be “lost” during even a short heat treatment.
