It can be pressed into palettes like regular eyeshadow, or sold loose in small jars. Our main task when applying is to make sure that the small glitter does not fall off during the day. Therefore, I propose to analyze several comfortable techniques. Try these recommendations in practice:
- Be sure to use another product as a base under the glitter. In eye makeup it can be a primer or cream shadows, in the case of lips it can be lipstick or gloss. To fix the particles on the cheekbones and other areas of the face, you can use a makeup base or a rich cream.
- If the base product has a color, it should be close in temperature to glitter. Golden shimmer particles work best with warm shadows, such as brown or coffee.
- Use a clean napkin to catch any excess glitter. Dry product flakes off your brush easily as you apply it, so cover your skin. For example, if you are doing makeup on the upper eyelid, you need to apply a napkin to the lower eyelash area before using glitter.
- Apply product either with a flat brush or with your fingers. A fluffy brush will not work for this purpose: too many particles will fall off during the process.
- Be careful with glitter if you wear contacts. Small particles should never get into the eyes, so it is better not to apply the loose product to the moving eyelid. It’s better to shift the emphasis to your lips or cheekbones.
