Eye primer

Due to the shape of the eye, eyeliner and mascara can sometimes smear or smudge under the eyes or on the eyelid itself.
One of the best ways to combat unwanted streaks is with an eyeshadow primer. A thin layer underneath any other means will ensure everything stays where it should be. By the way, in makeup, Asian women use primers with silicones not only for the eyelids, but also for the lips and eyelashes.

Gradient or ombre shadows
Remember everything you know about how to create the perfect smoky eye. Makeup artists advise forgetting all these techniques in case of Asian eye shape. Shadows for these eyes are designed not so much to add volume to the outer crease (since there is none), but to create a uniform ombre effect from the lash line to the eyebrows.
Start by applying a plain beige eyeshadow to your upper eyelid. Then line your eyes with black gel eyeliner and use a flat, angled eyeshadow brush to apply dark brown matte eyeshadow just above your eyelid. Next, take a light brown matte eye shadow and apply it over the darker shade. You definitely need to blend all the shades well to get a soft smoky effect.
The same technique is used for colored eye shadows. Take a dark blue or light purple color and fill your eyelid halfway, then blend it upward.
Step-by-step execution
Let's look at how Asian makeup is done step by step.
- Choose a base for makeup that is 1 tone lighter than your skin, blend the edges thoroughly. Next, lighten the triangle in the eye area, as well as the wing of the nose. Use a concealer that contains particles that reflect light. It is convenient to do shading with a sponge. When finished, set everything using powder.
- As for correction, it is better to use substances with a dry texture, these can be matte shadows or bronzer. It is impossible for the product to contain red pigment or reflective particles. You need to darken the hairline with shadows, foundation - the lower part of the chin, sides of the nose, cheekbones (where the bone stands out). Let's look at makeup for Asian eyes step by step (photo):
- Apply makeup for the Asian century as carefully as possible, with special care. Apply primer to the part that is mobile, to the area under the arch of the eyebrow - ideally, if you blend it with your finger (to feel the degree of coverage and not to overdo it with the amount of product). Apply a thin layer of powder on top.
- It is better to use gel eyeliner. Draw a brush where the eyelashes grow - the line should be neat and clear. Where the outer corner is, lower the line a little down - this will visually elongate the eye. To ensure that the edge of the eyeliner is not clearly defined, you need to quickly, before the product has time to dry, run over it with a synthetic brush, shading the eyeliner.
- The lower eyelid also needs to be worked on. One of the best options is to use a white pencil. Use it to work on the mucous membrane of the lower eyelid. This technique will make your eyes look fresh and make your eyes a little bigger.
- Eyelashes cannot be made thick and expressive, this is a big mistake! Just one coat of mascara is enough to highlight the eyelashes, this is quite enough. Asian makeup does not involve working on the lower lashes, especially if you are European and want to stick to the style.
- Eyebrow makeup has special subtleties. Follow these recommendations:
- even if you are blonde, the color of your eyebrows should be rich, charcoal;
- shape – exclusively straight, no bends;
- everything must be clear, shading cannot be done.
Below is an example of what Asian makeup looks like before and after. You shouldn’t be afraid to do it; if you put in a little effort and choose the right color scheme, everything will turn out perfect. If you have skillful hands, you can create it without any problems even on a Caucasian face.
Arrows

We all know the winged line trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but for hooded eyes, this is great news. The liner perfectly emphasizes the almond shape. If sharp winged lines seem too intimidating, we recommend smearing your eyeliner to soften the effect without losing focus. To do this, use a brush to blend the eyeliner.
How to apply?
Concealer
No matter what your appearance is - Asian, European or Arabic, no makeup is complete without applying foundation and foundation. This is a very important step that should not be neglected. Since Asian girls very often have a yellowish skin tone, it is worth choosing a foundation with a golden, caramel and beige slant, avoiding pink tones. Although yellow skin color is not a priori, there are exceptions. So, go to the store and choose a foundation! The main thing is that it is not darker than the color of your skin.
Concealer will help with dark circles. Although, you can avoid their appearance altogether if you follow some rules: don’t overwork, get enough sleep and use the right skin care products.
Take a closer look at blush shades of bronze, peach and plum. They will help define the cheekbones, add definition to the face and correct minor imperfections in the shape of the face. If you have very pale skin, choose pink tones.
You can choose any shades of shadows when doing makeup for narrow eyes: both cold and warm spectrum. Still, it is worth taking into account the color of the eyes and hair, because Asian women are not always brown-eyed and dark-haired. You can do makeup for narrow eyes using brown, beige, chocolate, blue, purple, pearl, green, gray, cream and coffee shades of eyeshadow. It is better to choose matte shadows in structure. You should avoid pearlescent shadows, they will add fatigue and inflammation to the eyes, the same goes for pink and red shadows.
Of course, you can achieve beautiful and harmonious makeup if you use a minimum of shadows. But you can experiment, because everyone knows about the love of Asian women for experiments and rich images. Of course, for daytime makeup, choose calm and gentle tones, and for evening makeup, choose bright and rich ones; this rule doesn’t even need to be mentioned, everyone knows about it.
A thin and even arrow is the calling card of the Buryat make-up. It's best to use pencil or liquid eyeliner, but if you don't know how to use the latter, it's best to abstain. The arrow colors can be any - classic black and brown or blue and purple. A line is drawn along the growth of the eyelashes, from the inner corner to the outer. You can protrude slightly beyond the edge of the eyelid and raise the line.
Typically, Asian women's eyelashes are sparse and short, which is probably why they often use false doll eyelashes. You don’t have to adjust so radically, but choose lengthening mascara. It is applied in two or three layers to give the desired effect. You can lift your eyelashes with special curling irons.
Choose a lipstick according to the occasion; you can use either a bright one with glitter or a calm matte one. During the day, it is best to stick to shades of pink, peach, apricot, and caramel. In the evening, you are allowed to use cherry, coral, scarlet, and fuchsia lipstick.
Open Gaze Technique
with Asian eyes should keep their eyes open when applying makeup. When you apply eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara, you should keep your eyes as open as possible and tilt your head back a little. This tip especially applies to eyeliner. Don't get hung up on drawing the arrow in one go. First draw the tip, and then carefully draw the eyeliner on the eyelid itself.
Basic cosmetics
Korean women are proud and very fond of cosmetics that are produced in their native country. Therefore, every lady’s cosmetic bag contains native Korean products, not only produced there, but also invented.
- BB Cream. Yes, it was invented in Germany, but it was in Korea that this remedy for correcting the tone and texture of the face was brought to perfection. The advantage of Korean bi-bi creams is that they always contain a high SPF factor, not lower than 30.
- Cushion is the pride of Korean manufacturers. A product that combines a light, but at the same time well-covering texture with an abundance of moisturizing and caring components.
- Tint for lips, cheeks and even eyebrows. This is a highly pigmented, long-lasting product with a liquid texture and, as a rule, a matte finish. It can be used as both lipstick and blush at the same time. Eyebrow tint is a rather strange thing, but Asian beautyholics use it with pleasure.
- Makeup base was also not invented in Korea, but its residents need this product. Korean women mostly have oily skin with enlarged pores. And the base, in turn, smoothes out the relief and allows the foundation to lie flat and last as long as possible. The Korean makeup base can serve as a “pore-filler” or highlighter; it illuminates the skin as if from the inside or covers up redness and rashes on the face.
- Eyeliner. Even everyday eye makeup cannot be done without it.
