The recipe for oatmeal cutlets is easy to prepare and, which is very nice, is cheap enough for the family budget, and the benefits are, of course, enormous.

Just the fact that oatmeal speeds up the metabolism in the body already adds a bunch of advantages to it, which is why this dish is well suited for overweight people, because the cause of obesity, first of all, is a slow metabolism.

I cook oatmeal cutlets using this recipe during Lent a couple of times a week - my family loves it, and it’s not a bad way to diversify Lenten food. Oatmeal cutlets turn out tasty, satisfying, and are eaten with pleasure. You can add potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage to them, and vary the taste as you wish, leaving only the base unchanged - oatmeal. So, today we have lean oatmeal cutlets for lunch.

Classic recipe for oatmeal cutlets

We are all accustomed to frying meat cutlets, that is, an unusual option for preparing a dish based on oatmeal. The cutlets are satisfying, healthy and ideal for those who adhere to proper nutrition. If you don’t know how to cook oatmeal cutlets, then write down the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 225 g oatmeal;
  • one egg;
  • potato tuber;
  • bulb;
  • 220 ml broth (water);
  • spices, oil.

Cooking method:

  1. First of all, you need to prepare the flakes; to do this, we fill them with hot broth (boiling water) and leave for 15 minutes. During this time, the flakes will swell.
  2. Now squeeze out the flakes, put them in a bowl, add grated potatoes and onions along with them, beat in an egg, add spices to taste and mix.
  3. Form the minced meat into cutlets and fry in oil until golden brown.

Oatmeal cutlets with mushrooms

For greater taste and aroma, you can add mushrooms to the minced oatmeal. For the recipe we will use ordinary champignons, but you can also use dried forest mushrooms. We will not just fry the cutlets, but stew them in sour cream sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 220 g oat flakes;
  • 280 g champignons;
  • one egg;
  • one onion and one potato each;
  • garlic clove;
  • 215 ml mushroom broth (water);
  • spices, oil, cilantro.

For the sauce:

  • 385 ml mushroom broth;
  • 55 g flour;
  • half an onion;
  • 110 ml sour cream.

Cooking method:

  1. Boil the champignons, cool and chop into small slices.
  2. Strain the mushroom broth, measure out a glass and pour in the flakes, leave for 15 minutes.
  3. Add grated garlic, potatoes and onions, chopped cilantro, spices and egg to the already swollen flakes. Mix the minced meat and fry the cutlets.
  4. Separately, sauté the chopped onion until golden, then sprinkle with flour, pour in the broth, add sour cream and spices, simmer for a couple of minutes and pour in the cutlets.
  5. Let the dish sit for a couple of minutes and remove from heat.

Oatmeal cutlets with carrots

Oatmeal cutlets are a quick and tasty way to feed your family an interesting dish. You can put different ingredients into the minced meat for such cutlets, for example, regular carrots.

Ingredients:

  • 185 g oat flakes;
  • one carrot and one onion;
  • one egg;
  • dill seeds (ground);
  • breadcrumbs, spices.

Cooking method:

  1. If you need to pre-boil the flakes, then take the flakes and water in a 1:1 ratio. Pour oats into boiling water and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then put the finished ingredient in a bowl and cool.
  2. Cut the onion into small cubes, chop the carrots on a grater. Sauté vegetables in oil until soft.
  3. Then combine the fried vegetables with cereal, beat in the egg, add seasonings and mix.
  4. We make cutlets from minced meat, bread them in breadcrumbs and fry until cooked.

Recipe with minced pork

Juicy cutlets with oatmeal and minced pork can be prepared from the following food set:

  • minced meat – 1 kg;
  • milk – 120 ml;
  • oat flakes – 200 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • sunflower oil - for frying;
  • salt, pepper and breadcrumbs.

The steps to creating delicious cutlets are as follows:

  1. Eggs are beaten with milk, after which the mixture is poured into oatmeal.
  2. Oatmeal is infused for 20 minutes to swell.
  3. Vegetables are chopped.
  4. In a deep bowl, mix the swollen flakes, minced meat, chopped vegetables, salt and pepper.
  5. From the prepared mass, products are formed, rolled in breadcrumbs and fried in a frying pan with heated oil.

Recipe for cooking oatmeal like meat

If you are looking for an interesting recipe for a hot dish, we advise you to prepare cutlets for oatmeal.

To bring the taste of the products closer to meat, the flakes must be steamed in broth.

Ingredients:

  • 185 g flakes;
  • a glass of broth (meat);
  • one onion;
  • garlic clove;
  • fresh dill, spices;
  • breading, butter.

Cooking method:

  1. Pour the hot broth over the flakes and leave them for 15 minutes.
  2. Chop the onion into cubes and sauté in oil for a couple of minutes, then add to the already swollen flakes.
  3. Then add the spicy clove passed through the press and finely chopped dill. Add spices to taste and mix everything thoroughly.
  4. All that remains is to form the cutlets, sprinkle them with any breading and fry until golden brown.

Cutlets with oatmeal in the oven. How to cook cutlets in the oven: step-by-step photo recipe

  • meat (pork) – 500 g,
  • bread 70 - 80 g,
  • onion – 1 pc.,
  • milk – 200 ml,
  • breadcrumbs,
  • salt,
  • ground black pepper.

So, the first thing we do is soak the bread in milk for 10 - 15 minutes. Traditionally, it is recommended to put white bread in minced cutlets, but I prefer to add bread crumb made from rye flour - it creates an interesting, unusual taste.

Pass a piece of pork through a meat grinder.

Add bread lightly squeezed from milk. Then the onion is peeled and chopped through a meat grinder. Be sure to add salt and pepper to taste. If the minced meat is too thick, you can add a little more milk, which contained the bread.

Knead the cutlet mass thoroughly and pass it through your fingers. Then we hit the table with force several times - this will give the minced meat a uniform structure. Now cover the bowl with the meat mixture with cling film and place it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. During the time spent in a cold place, the minced meat will become docile, and you can easily make pork cutlets from it.

We form small round or oval-shaped meatballs with a thickness of about 2 - 2.5 cm. To give a crispy crust, meat products must be breaded, not in flour, but in breadcrumbs. I usually prepare the breading in advance - I dry the bread in the oven, then pass it through a meat grinder.

Grease a baking sheet with some kind of fat (sunflower or butter), place the cutlets close to each other on it, and place in the oven. Bake at 200 degrees until golden brown (about 20 minutes).

Delicious recipe with bouillon cube

If you don’t have meat broth on hand, you can make cutlets from oatmeal with cubes. We simply stir it in water and use it to steam the cereal.

Ingredients:

  • 215 g flakes;
  • one chicken cube;
  • cup of water
  • one onion and one potato each;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • half a bunch of dill, spices, oil.

Cooking method:

  1. Dissolve the chicken cube in boiling water and pour the resulting broth over the flakes and steam for 15 minutes.
  2. In hot oil, sauté the chopped onion until golden and add it to the cereal along with the grated potato tuber and slices of the spicy vegetable.
  3. Add chopped dill and spices, mix everything, form cutlets and fry them until fully cooked.

Chicken cutlets with oatmeal and cheese. Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet – 500 g
  • egg – 1 pc.
  • oatmeal – ½ tbsp.
  • water – ½ tbsp.
  • garlic – 1-2 cloves
  • onion – 1 pc.
  • vegetable oil
  • pepper, salt.

Cooking method:


    First of all, we need to steam the oatmeal with boiling water. To do this, fill them with ½ cup of hot water and let them stand for 15-20 minutes to swell.


    Meanwhile, cut the peeled onions and chicken breast into pieces.


    Grind it all in a meat grinder or blender, turning it into minced meat.


    Add steamed oatmeal to the chicken and onions.


    Beat one egg into the mixture and mix.


    All that remains is to season the resulting minced meat with spices. Add salt, a mixture of peppers or black pepper, and of course, chopped garlic. Mix everything thoroughly, beating it against the sides of the bowl. Now the minced chicken is ready for making cutlets.


    Heat the frying pan by pouring vegetable oil into it. And we form cutlets. First I take a full tablespoon of minced meat. I transfer it to my hands moistened with water. And then I pass it from hand to hand until the cutlet becomes round. I put it on the frying pan. If you wish, you can use breading. Fry over high heat on one side until golden brown.


    Turn over and fry over the same heat until browned. Then reduce the heat and keep it covered until done.

  1. Chicken cutlets with oatmeal are ready. All that remains is to prepare the side dish. Vegetables go best with this dish.

Lenten oatmeal cutlets

Oatmeal cutlets are an ideal dish for those who are fasting. Delicious cutlets can be fried with vegetables, mushrooms, we just exclude the egg.

Ingredients:

  • 220 g flakes;
  • one potato;
  • bulb;
  • spices, vegetable oil.

Cooking method:

  1. Cooking lean cutlets for oatmeal is no different from the recipes we described above. We also steam the flakes in water; here you can use vegetable or mushroom broth.
  2. Mix the flakes with grated potatoes, lightly fried onions and spices. You can also put other vegetables in the minced meat, for example, carrots or zucchini.
  3. Fry the cutlets in vegetable oil until golden brown.

From minced chicken

Oatmeal goes well with minced chicken, giving it juiciness and softness.

To complete the recipe you will need:

  • ½ kg minced chicken;
  • egg;
  • 100 g flakes;
  • 100 ml water;
  • bulb;
  • ½ head of garlic;
  • salt and spices.

To prepare chicken cutlets with oatmeal:

  1. Oatmeal is poured into a deep plate.
  2. The egg is diluted with water, after which the resulting liquid is poured into the flakes for 30 minutes.
  3. Vegetables are chopped and mixed with minced meat.
  4. When the flakes swell, they are also mixed with minced meat, which is salted and seasoned to taste.
  5. Cutlets are formed from the kneaded mass, which are fried in a heated frying pan with oil on both sides until lightly bronzed.
