GOLDEN LATTE: IMMUNITY SUPPORT

I absolutely agree with those who are sincerely in love with coffee and see no alternative to it. But there are still temptations that are difficult to resist. One of them conquered the majority of coffee lovers, and we accepted this drink into our coffee community. I mean matcha latte, which is prepared using latte technology and based on matcha green tea powder.

Another candidate has appeared worthy of the attention of our brotherhood. This is turmeric - a well-known spice with beneficial properties, a unique taste and a beautiful golden color. It is widely used by chefs all over the world to prepare delicious dishes, but the spice also has another “talent”. You can use it to make a wonderful latte.

Some information about turmeric

This is a plant from the ginger family. For culinary purposes, only its root is used, which is similar in appearance to the well-known pot-bellied ginger. Because of this similarity, turmeric is often called “yellow ginger.” It also has other names: “golden spice”, “Indian saffron”.

The aromatic yellow powder obtained from the roots is a powerful natural remedy that was used thousands of years ago by Chinese and Indian healers. The active substance that provides the healing properties of the spice is curcumin. Scientists have proven the advantages of a natural product:

  • turmeric is a natural antibiotic that defeats even the most severe infections, including tuberculosis, and has no side effects;
  • the spice has powerful antioxidant properties, allowing you to prolong youth and maintain an attractive appearance;
  • has immunomodulatory qualities, improves immunity, including due to the ability to protect DNA cells from free radicals;
  • turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent that fights inflammation at the molecular level (the gastric mucosa is not irritated in a person taking natural medicine);
  • the spice has an antitumor effect and prevents the growth of cancer cells;
  • it can soothe pain and alleviate symptoms of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and musculoskeletal system.
  • Turmeric is effective in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease;
  • Helps cleanse the body of heavy metals.

This list could be continued, but then this article would only be about turmeric. But now no one will object that golden saffron has the right to respect.

Important: turmeric is contraindicated during pregnancy, as it can increase the tone of the uterus. Its use is not indicated in the presence of gallstones and an allergy to curcumin.

The benefits and harms of coffee with turmeric

This spice is traditionally used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to treat inflammatory conditions, skin conditions, wounds, digestive system and liver diseases. The spice contains chemicals called curcuminoids, of which curcumin is especially important.

Curcumin is poorly absorbed into the blood, so it is usually taken with black pepper, which contains piperine, a natural substance that increases the absorption of curcumin by 200 times!

  • Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties due to its high curcumin content.
  • Supports healthy joints by preventing swelling and inflammation, maintaining mobility and fighting arthritis.
  • Promotes heart health, improves the lining of blood vessels, thereby helping regulate blood pressure and blood clotting.
  • Normalizes cholesterol levels.
  • Increases resistance to stress: as an adaptogen, it helps neutralize the negative effects of daily stress on the body
  • Supports healthy metabolism and helps maintain normal blood sugar levels.
  • Contains high levels of antioxidants and fights excess free radicals in the body, which can damage cells and impair health.
  • Improves brain health: Helps support healthy cognitive function and working memory.
  • Turmeric supports weight loss: Curcumin may have a positive effect on weight management in overweight people.
  • Improves Mood: Curcumin helps reduce symptoms of mild mood changes, including PMS.
  • Optimizes Digestion: Reduces symptoms of bloating and gas associated with occasional indigestion.

Coffee with turmeric for weight loss

Curcumin may have a positive effect on the health of overweight people. Increased stress can cause sudden weight gain. When stress hormones (cortisol) are out of control, fat accumulates near the stomach because the cells in the stomach are more sensitive to cortisol and are very efficient at storing energy. Since turmeric can help balance stress hormones, it can help prevent a lifeline from forming around your waist.

One study found that curcumin can reduce the growth of fat cells!

Coffee and turmeric: effect on potency

There are statements online that drinking this drink can increase male strength, but this is not a direct effect. In fact, no detailed studies have been conducted. However, there is a certain meaning in this, thanks to the following properties of this amazing spice:

  • Dilates and tones blood vessels for better blood supply;
  • Relieves fatigue and reduces the effects of daily stress;
  • Reduces bloating, which improves overall well-being and increases self-esteem.

In general, it’s worth a try: you definitely have nothing to lose. Judging by the reviews, the effect is noticeable within a week after regular use.

Potential Harm and Risks

Everything is good in moderation, and you should always understand that there are certain risks, allergic reactions and individual intolerance to the product. You should avoid turmeric in the following cases:

  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • Some time before surgical interventions (since the seasoning thins the blood);
  • While taking blood thinning medications;
  • If allergies occur;
  • If you have gallstones or other problems with this organ.

You should not use the seasoning in quantities of more than one teaspoon per day. This is just the right dose: it will do good and not cause harm.

How to use turmeric

Vegan gentlemen, who accept food and drink only of plant origin, consume turmeric simply with water. This is their choice and way of life, but we will choose something more interesting for ourselves.

Additional information: Indian spice is diluted in clean water and drunk for various purposes - for treatment, weight loss, relaxation before bed, etc. The simplest recipe for a slightly bitter spicy drink is this: pour ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder into warm water (about 50°) and stir well. To taste and enhance the beneficial qualities, you can add a spoonful of honey.

A popular drink in India is called “golden milk”. They drink it not in the morning to cheer up, but in the evening to relax. A simple recipe looks like this:

  • a teaspoon of turmeric powder, you can take half;
  • glass of water;
  • half a glass of high fat cream;
  • sugar or other sweetener to taste.

Mix the cream with water, heat (can be in the microwave) until warm, add turmeric and beat with a small milk frother (Frapper) or blender. For those with a sweet tooth, the drink can be supplemented with sugar.

But this recipe is clearly not for vegetarians, since it contains cream, and even fat. It is believed that with coconut milk or any other milk of plant origin, turmeric reveals its taste better. Try this option:

  • a teaspoon of turmeric powder;
  • half a glass of water;
  • half a glass of almond, soy or coconut milk;
  • a teaspoon of coconut oil or cocoa butter;
  • sugar or other sweetener to taste.

Add butter to the mixture of water and milk and heat it up, then proceed in the same way as in the first option.

Important: the benefits of turmeric increase if you use it together with pepper! The substance piperine, which is part of black pepper, inhibits the breakdown of the healing component curcumin. As a result, the effect of using golden saffron increases.

Hojicha latte with coconut sugar and vanilla

To prepare this cocktail, you only need two ingredients - hojichi powder and milk. But to improve its taste, you can add sweetener and vanilla:

  • 2 g of hojicha tea (1 tsp without a slide);
  • 250 ml plant milk;
  • 2 tsp. coconut sugar;
  • vanilla (vanilla sugar).

Curcumin Recipes

I believe that the proposed recipe will be useful for many who are losing weight. According to reviews from citizens and women who have used it, the effect is not bad - the reflection in the mirror is pleasing, the figure takes on new smaller shapes, and the quality of the skin improves.

Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of warm water and add a pinch of ground black pepper. Drink slowly in small sips 15-20 minutes before meals. Use 1 – 2 times a day for 4 – 6 weeks. People with gastrointestinal problems should treat this drink with caution, so as not to cause harm to the stomach.

Now it's delicious. We will prepare a healthy and wonderful-tasting drink at home.

Golden tea latte

The recipe for spicy cocoa didn’t seem enough, so grab a golden tea latte. I tried this drink in a Californian cafe that served only tea, and decided that from that moment on it was at the top of my list of warm milk-based drinks. I couldn't help but share it with you.

This is not a quick recipe. This is not tea in bags for you, threw it into a cup and went to brush your teeth. You'll have to work here. But it's worth it.

For 1 serving of latte:

  • 450 ml nut milk (try pecan milk)
  • 1.5 tsp. flower honey,
  • 1/2 tsp. greenish tea with jasmine,
  • 1/4 tsp. rose petals for making tea,
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon,
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger,
  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric,
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg,
  • 1/4 tsp. coconut oil,
  • natural vanilla,
  • Himalayan salt (to taste).

Wide list of ingredients, right? Don't be scared! Together they feel indescribable! In addition, any of them has antioxidant qualities and allows our body to be in good shape. For example, turmeric, without which a latte loses its golden color, can be a good strengthening and tonic. So if a golden latte suits your taste, feel free to include it in your weekly routine.

Place all ingredients, not including honey and butter, in a saucepan and heat over low heat. Then process in a blender, strain, add honey, butter and blend again in a blender or use a milk frother. The latte should be warm and foamy.

If you cook according to the recipes that we share with you (and we really hope that our work is justified), please tag #non-recipe_recipes so that we can rejoice at your cards!

Turmeric latte or your favorite Golden Milk.

It’s already 4 o’clock in the afternoon, two hours have passed since lunch and I want to drink something hot, comfortable and spicy. A quick latte with turmeric is exactly what you need! I just bought almond milk the other day!

A few words about the drink

Turmeric Latte is also known as Golden Milk, which magically takes us back to its origins...

Latte actually means “steam milk.” Turmeric is a colorful plant in the ginger family, a root that was not very common in the West until relatively recently (before the early 20th century). Turmeric, as it is also called, was well known to the peoples of the old East. It is very typical of the Ayurvedic culture, which used curcumin (the main element of the plant) as a medicine.

This plant really has a huge number of necessary parameters. It is believed that turmeric increases immunity, improves skin condition, helps with sleep disorders, inflammation, bloating, promotes bone tissue restoration and is a natural antiseptic.

Golden milk is caffeine-free and can be served hot or cold. It is incomparable in any form.

So let's cook it. Just 5-7 minutes. Just wait until the kettle boils.

  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • grated ginger
  • freshly ground dark pepper
  1. In a cup, combine turmeric, honey, coconut oil, cinnamon, ginger, pepper and hot water, stir everything well
  2. Heat the milk in a steamer or on the stove
  3. Place all the ingredients in a heatproof blender (my Vitamix is like this), let everything blend until smooth, pour into your favorite cup and enjoy!

Turmeric latte.

Another trend of the season, turmeric latte or golden latte. As usual, the internet describes its incredible benefits, but I’m just trying to implement it at home.

Ingredients (for 1-2 servings):

2 tbsp. milk (can be vegetable) 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1\4 tsp. turmeric 1\2 tsp. coconut oil 1/8 tsp. ground ginger 1 tsp. – 1 tbsp. l. honey shot of espresso

Recipe:

In a small saucepan, combine milk, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger and coconut oil. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until boiling. Add honey, stir well, remove from heat. Pour into a French press, quickly lower and raise the press for 20 seconds so that the mass foams. Add espresso to a huge mug, then pour in the frothed “milk.” Do not lift the press when pouring into the mug to strain the liquid.
