For decades, there have been discussions about the effects of coffee and tea on the human body. Often, lovers of another are judged for choosing a certain drink. But real gourmets don’t just drink coffee or tea, but also strive to try new recipes. Baristas are reviving ancient recipes, popularizing old traditions from Asia and Africa.
Real madmen combine coffee with tea, but there is a recipe in which the drink turns out rich and tasty. It came to us from China and is called Yuanyang. Translated, this means “Mandarin duck,” which in itself is unusual.
Yuanyang recipe
In order to cook an unusual product, you will need ordinary ingredients. The first is black tea, preferably without flavorings; both bagged and loose tea will do. Arabica is used for coffee; experimenting with Robusta is not recommended. Condensed milk must be concentrated.
It is most convenient to prepare coffee and tea in a small saucepan. Water and tea should be placed on medium heat. You need to take either 4 bags or 2 tablespoons, depending on what form the tea is taken in.
When the contents boil, turn down the heat and cook for three minutes. The main thing is that the water does not boil anymore, otherwise the drink will not work. After this, the pan must be removed from the heat. After cooling, add 1 teaspoon of condensed milk.
The next step will be coffee. Usually an amount equal to the amount of tea is taken. There should be a lot of coffee. The contents must be mixed thoroughly.
Typically, baristas, during the cooking process, replace condensed milk with regular milk or cream. This is just one of many options for preparing the drink. No one will forbid you to carry out experiments. Some people take a whole can of condensed milk, others say that the result is too sweet yuanyang.
Green tea with coffee for weight loss
Coffee and green tea do not harm your figure. Their effectiveness in treating obesity has been proven, since the components included in the composition accelerate metabolism. If any hot drink is mixed with an additive, its calorie content will increase. This will have a negative impact on your weight.
For example, 100 ml of green tea contains up to 5 calories. If you add 1 tsp to the composition. sugar, the number of calories will increase to 35. If you mix the drink with 3 tbsp. l. low-fat milk, which is equal to 30 calories, then the total number of calories is 70. By adding 3 tbsp to the drink. l. cream, the indicator will be 140.
250 ml of Americano contains 2 calories. Adding 2 tsp. sugar, the indicator will increase to 50. If you dilute the composition with 100 g of milk, the total number of calories will increase to 100.
If we compare the calorie content of green tea and coffee in its pure form, then the latter drink contains more calories. But since tea is more easily accepted by the body without sugar, it can be drunk in its pure form. It's harder to give up sugar when you're making coffee.
Bubble tea
It is popularly called Boba tea. Also popular is the name bubble and pearl tea. Black or green tea is suitable. There are dozens of flavors. Tea is infused with syrups, cream, plants, or fruit extracts. All ingredients are whipped and mixed together.
This special tea originates from Taiwan. The first experiments were carried out in the 1980s. At first, the number of ingredients was limited, as were coffee and tea. It was regular tea mixed with fruit syrup. Later, it became popular to add tapioca balls filled with juice. The drink turned out beautiful and tasty.
Worldwide distribution occurred later when the tea found its way into the Japanese media. The main countries that have tasted Taiwanese tea are the USA, Australia and China. Among the European countries, England and Germany stand out. Russians also love to drink the drink in cafes. You can try it in almost all major cities.

Is coffee and tea good?
We tested different combinations of coffee (espresso from a coffee machine) and tea with different additives to understand the taste of such mixes.
Coffee with black tea
In the basic combination, the drink turns out to be quite tart, and adding sugar doesn’t help it much.
Even if espresso is about 20% of the total volume, the aroma and taste are clearly coffee. But if you add condensed milk (as in Malaysia), it turns out better, similar to sweet coffee with milk. The combination of classic black tea with coffee, condensed milk, ice and ice cream turned out to be very tasty. The warm version is also okay, but the cold version is especially successful.
Coffee with green tea
It turned out quite unique in any combination: with classic green, gunpowder, as well as with fruity green, and even sugar didn’t fix anything. But these were incredibly strong mixtures in terms of caffeine. Green tea leaves also contain a lot of caffeine, so even after a few small sips you can feel very energized and even slightly overdosed on caffeine. Alternatively, such a mixture should be heavily diluted with water. The network recommends diluting it with milk and adding cinnamon; the milk should soften the caffeine hit somewhat. In any case, it will turn out very invigorating.
The combination of espresso and green tea can be beneficial for people trying to lose weight. Both drinks speed up metabolism and promote fat burning (which is scientifically proven). The mix should be drunk after meals, but, of course, then no additives, and take care of your heart.
Coffee with herbal tea
This drink has a reduced caffeine content - that is, no caffeine from tea leaves is added, since herbal mixtures do not contain them. The taste turned out to be very herbaceous and unusual. It turns out better with sugar, and only when cold. We tried a combination of coffee with mint, thyme, and a mixture of alpine herbs. In the basic version, none of the mixtures is exciting, but you can try to prepare something more complex, with the addition of other ingredients. For one serving it’s too labor-intensive, but for treating a group of friends it’s a good option.
An interesting cocktail was made with ice, lemon and tonic - a little coffee and an herbaceous-citrus mixture are combined in a whimsical manner. It will be successful if you add a little herbal tincture.
Fruit tea mixed with coffee
The combination of hibiscus with berries and espresso turned out to be unexpectedly very successful. The bright sour-berry taste and coffee bitterness combine perfectly and refresh. It turns out quite well both without sugar and with it. With ice it’s even better; you get a tonic drink, just what you need for the summer heat. Hot, it will definitely be an interesting drink for cold days when you need to cheer yourself up. Something close to coffee mulled wine, if you add classic “mulled wine” spices.
Tea made from red fruits and berries with hibiscus and coffee is our favorite; you can even drink it unsweetened, that is, without adding calories from sugar.
Coffee for geeks
Created by Dave Iceprey. For tourism purposes, the American visited Tibet and tried milk tea, which inspired him to create a new recipe. He took coffee as a basis, since he loved it more than tea. Milk and sugar added calories to the drink, so it was decided to abandon them.
The experiments took several years. The result was a drink consisting of 1-2 tablespoons of butter, and the same volume of vegetable oil with STC. Thus, coconut oil, which negatively affects the taste, was replaced.
Thanks to its unique composition, the drink has lost its toxicity. It is quickly absorbed by the body, giving energy. Dave decided to use only organic oil.
The natural drink quickly became popular in the United States and was appreciated in Silicon Valley. In English it is called Bulletproof coffee.
Coffee and tea. What if you combine them?
A team of American and Chinese scientists has invented a new invigorating and tonic drink - coffee tea. They convince us that a cup of hot tea made from coffee leaves will be an excellent alternative to coffee and tea. There is the best proportion of coffee leaves and hot water. Presumably, the drink will taste like coffee. However, due to its low caffeine content, it will also resemble tea. But at the same time, the drink will not be as strong and bitter as classic black coffee.
Everyone knows the benefits of tea and coffee. Tea contains so-called vegetable protein (especially green tea). Green tea strengthens bones and has a positive effect on potency. Black highland tea from famous plantations from the island of Ceylon contains vitamins, magnesium and sodium. Tea contains almost no caffeine (30 mg in 350 ml of tea), an alkaloid that makes us alert in the morning, which is why tea is sometimes incorrectly called an invigorating drink. This is mistake. Tea really has invigorating properties. But this is just a short-term increase in tone. This mild “side effect” disappears after 25 minutes, since such a small amount of caffeine is quickly absorbed by the body.
For an invigorating effect, a large dose of caffeine is required. Good coffee contains a large amount of fats and carbohydrates, minerals and caffeine. It is the high caffeine content in a cup of hot coffee that makes a person alert. A cup of coffee (65 ml) contains 90-200 mg of caffeine. This amount of caffeine makes it possible to be alert and productive for about 4 hours when performing moderately active work (for example, delivering mail). However, after some time, when caffeine is absorbed, the body's activity. A person needs up to 2 cups of coffee a day to maintain tone.
What if caffeine is bad for you? For many who suffer from peptic ulcers, coffee in any form is contraindicated. Tea is also on the list of products that are strictly contraindicated. American scientists claim that a coffee leaf is a way out. Unlike coffee beans, it does not contain caffeine, tannin, tannins, twice as many B vitamins, sodium, calcium and phosphorus, antioxidants. This drink is at the stage of verification and certification, and is not yet on sale. But, according to scientists, the organoleptic qualities will not be inferior to tea and coffee. Its first name: coffee tea or simply “tea-coffee”. Scientists claim that this drink will not be contraindicated for people who suffer from ailments such as peptic ulcers, gastritis and will combine all the positive qualities of coffee and tea.
Chaisuma
In Tibet, Chaisuma is extremely popular. The basis of the drink is yak milk, to which butter and salt are added. It adds energy, warms you up in the cold and gives you satiety.
Traditionally, it takes a long time to prepare. First, the tea leaves are boiled for 3 hours, then the tea is poured into a churn, where other ingredients are added, resulting in a thick mixture.
Thanks to tourists and climbers who visited Tibet, the whole world drinks butter tea.
Good caffeine in matcha tea
The average cup of coffee contains about 90 mg of caffeine, espresso contains 60 mg, and a standard cup of green tea contains 12 mg. 100% of the caffeine from coffee enters the human body, quickly causing a surge of energy. After this outbreak, an even more noticeable period of decline begins, because our body cannot work all the time with high blood pressure and a rapid heartbeat. But matcha supplies caffeine along with the amino acid L-theanine, which helps the gradual absorption of caffeine in the body. This avoids the overstimulation of the nervous system that coffee consumption causes for some of us.
A serving of antioxidants
It is known for sure that green tea contains a huge amount of antioxidants that prevent the development of cancer and other serious diseases. So, in a cup of matcha there are 10 times more of them than in any other green tea. According to the Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity test, which measures the level of antioxidants in foods, matcha green tea has 1,384 antioxidant units per gram. This is 13 times more than pomegranate, 15 times more than blueberries, and 125 times more than spinach. Already brewing?
Let's lose weight together
Have you ever quelled your hunger with a cup of coffee? If yes, then quit this wrong activity. After the body receives its dose of the drink, the desire often comes to eat something big and satisfying. In addition, coffee has such an image - a cup with a colleague obliges you to eat candy or some other high-calorie snack, not to mention coffee with milk, which is banned by all nutritionists in the world. Therefore, if you really need to control your weight and still get a regular dose of caffeine, switch to matcha.
Snow-white smile
Red wine, black tea and coffee are dentists’ “favorite” drinks. What about matcha? Just the opposite. While coffee causes bad breath over time, drinking green tea improves oral hygiene. And don’t forget about matcha’s ability to relieve inflammation. If you have problems with sore gums, you can try strong brewed tea as a gargle.
Green tea is healthier than coffee
The history of green tea goes back 5,000 years. In China, and later in Japan, it was popular for its invigorating and healing properties. However, enjoying green tea was only possible for nobles and monks. Green tea only reached Europe in 1610.

Although many more people in Europe now prefer coffee, green tea is becoming increasingly popular due to its wonderful health effects and distinct taste.
While tea and coffee contain antioxidants and, of course, the active substance caffeine, which is highly valued by many people for its stimulating effects, numerous studies have shown that green tea is clearly the leader in terms of medicinal value.
Green tea has been used for many years for its beneficial effects on health and weight loss. A powerful natural antioxidant 100 times more effective against free radicals than vitamins C and. Valuable polyphenols can protect the body from premature aging of cells.
